Ok. Finally we have Danny dyers new drama acting skills from ee !! Will he do the usual pained constipated tortoise look or can he really act …….

starts next week. Like to give you warning 😂

4 parts - Tue to Fri

Best friends since they were both single in the UK, Steve (dyed) and Brad made a decision to emigrate to Australia decades ago and it was a decision for the better.

There, they met their wives, started families and started up a near 20-year-old tradition of reuniting for an annual summer holiday with their families.

But this time round, the usually cheery and nostalgic summer holiday is underpinned by family drama threatening to come to the fore.

They decide to meet at Brad's recently built dream house in the Victorian highlands, where he meets the Cameron family with his wife Louise and son Kip.

While it may be all smiles and laughter at first, Steve, his wife Sarah and their teenage children, Mia and Tom, are clearly concealing tensions of their own.

Steve is hiding something, which only prompts Mia to think her father could be having an affair.

But the real twist is that Sarah is the one harbouring a secret – but Brad has an even bigger one to hide.

Marking his first major role since Eastenders – where he played Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter until his dramatic departure – Danny Dyer will be leading the cast of Heat.

His onscreen best friend Brad is played by Scottish-born Darren McMullen (Doctor Doctor, Christmas on the Farm) with the rest of the cast made up of a great ensemble of Australian and international actors.

The full cast for Heat is as follows.

  • Danny Dyer as Steve Cameron
  • Darren McMullen as Brad Fisher
  • Pia Miranda as Sarah Cameron
  • Matia Marks as Mia Cameron
  • Matteo Annetta as Tom Cameron
  • Jane Allsop as Louise Fisher
  • Hunter Hayden as Kip Fisher
  • Olympia Valance as Sergeant Angelos
  • Richie Morris as Jet Calloway

I do love a ch 5 drama. They are cheesey but good fun

That last episode was a huge change in the way the drama had been going . Two murders !!! Steve strangles Sara and Brad batters Steve to death .

So far fetched , Channel 5 , I love it !! 😅

You have your Steves and Brads muddled!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/07/2023 14:12

Makes a change to not have a happy ending

I've been following too many dramas !

Piggywaspushed · 15/07/2023 15:51

The casting to this show remains a mystery. A Scot , dubiously named Brad, and a Cockney in lead roles, who, for no plot reason, have the same birthday, met 20 years ago and we we never told how, or meant to notice they aren't Australian...apart from the house name.

Presumably, Dyer was cast for UK viewing figures. Apparently the other bloke us an Australian based actor.

daffodilandtulip · 15/07/2023 17:50

Well what a bizarre series! Sex tapes, fire and murder. Thought the police had worked it out at the end. Glad they didn't, even though I didn't like DD.

daffodilandtulip · 12/07/2023 22:39

Thursday will be the drama of everyone finding out everything then Friday someone will get trapped in the fire and everyone will realise they love everyone and the bf will save the trapped person and everyone will love him too. The end.

I'm beginning to worry that I'm some kind of psychopath that only finds death and murder interesting 🧐

🤣

martinisforeveryone · 16/07/2023 13:14

Well I'm not sure if I'd say I enjoyed it, but it did keep me watching, even though not at the same time as it was broadcast. It was quite a satisfying ending but it felt like the producers had looked at how it was going and said, we've got an hour to wrap this up and brought in different righters who thought sod it, we're gonna go for it now.

I really wanted to know how Brad had amassed so much money though.

Piggywaspushed · 16/07/2023 13:23

It was certainly padded out with plentiful sex scenes. I felt about made to be nearly as voyeuristic as Brad at some points!

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/07/2023 15:01

Def think Brad was into the sex /porn scene and where he made his money

Another sketchy C5 drama into which are inserted former British soap actors. It's like drama by numbers via Corrie/EastEnders.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/07/2023 17:09

It was a good drama tho

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/07/2023 18:01

Yep @KnickerlessParsons

It kept me interested - had a story -

I enjoyed it too. Just have to suspend belief a bit at times!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/07/2023 09:49

@lingmerth tho that's ch 5 dramas for you

Remember Pauline behind the curtain 😂😂😂

It was ok. Quite ridiculous and very over the top in general. And the accompanying music sometimes made it even more over the top.

purpleme12 · 17/07/2023 22:24

I don't really understand why channel 5 can't make a quality drama.

And i know i've said it before but i can't believe channel 5 let Neighbours go to concentrate on making these programmes

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/07/2023 11:31

I do love their dramas tbh

Samcro · 22/07/2023 10:32

we finished it last night. omg danny dyer is terrible.
found it a bit slow. baddie guy was awful,. there were a lot of annoying bits.
steve and his wife sitting talking whist a fire is getting closer and their son is missing?? just silly.why didn't his wife tell him she had found the son?
as for the daughter, she must have gone to the same acting school as DD.

But did like seeing Jet/Levi all ripped.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/07/2023 20:07

He did have nice biceps

Samcro · 22/07/2023 22:52

Very

lapisamethyst · 26/07/2023 18:59

Just watching this, on episode 3. Just came on to say what a dire actor Danny Dyer is. Jew, he's appalling.
Could have been a good drama with better actors.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/07/2023 20:07

@lapisamethyst he can't act as such but he was ok in this
