Ok. Finally we have Danny dyers new drama acting skills from ee !! Will he do the usual pained constipated tortoise look or can he really act …….

starts next week. Like to give you warning 😂

4 parts - Tue to Fri

Best friends since they were both single in the UK, Steve (dyed) and Brad made a decision to emigrate to Australia decades ago and it was a decision for the better.

There, they met their wives, started families and started up a near 20-year-old tradition of reuniting for an annual summer holiday with their families.

But this time round, the usually cheery and nostalgic summer holiday is underpinned by family drama threatening to come to the fore.

They decide to meet at Brad's recently built dream house in the Victorian highlands, where he meets the Cameron family with his wife Louise and son Kip.

While it may be all smiles and laughter at first, Steve, his wife Sarah and their teenage children, Mia and Tom, are clearly concealing tensions of their own.

Steve is hiding something, which only prompts Mia to think her father could be having an affair.

But the real twist is that Sarah is the one harbouring a secret – but Brad has an even bigger one to hide.

Marking his first major role since Eastenders – where he played Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter until his dramatic departure – Danny Dyer will be leading the cast of Heat.

His onscreen best friend Brad is played by Scottish-born Darren McMullen (Doctor Doctor, Christmas on the Farm) with the rest of the cast made up of a great ensemble of Australian and international actors.

The full cast for Heat is as follows.

  • Danny Dyer as Steve Cameron
  • Darren McMullen as Brad Fisher
  • Pia Miranda as Sarah Cameron
  • Matia Marks as Mia Cameron
  • Matteo Annetta as Tom Cameron
  • Jane Allsop as Louise Fisher
  • Hunter Hayden as Kip Fisher
  • Olympia Valance as Sergeant Angelos
  • Richie Morris as Jet Calloway

I do love a ch 5 drama. They are cheesey but good fun

I used to get excited (probably not the best word) when there were bush fires in Home and Away as I found it so fascinating how people lived with this.

lazymum99 · 12/07/2023 21:29

This is tedious. I thought maybe something exciting was going on in the office. But it’s just a teenager looking at naughty websites 🥱unless of course it’s the wife 😅

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/07/2023 21:32

Not sure what's going to happen

So now all know about the debt

Not speeding up is it 🤔

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/07/2023 22:02

Well we know the rich dad is unfaithful and a perve with the cameras in the house

Thursday will be the drama of everyone finding out everything then Friday someone will get trapped in the fire and everyone will realise they love everyone and the bf will save the trapped person and everyone will love him too. The end.

I'm beginning to worry that I'm some kind of psychopath that only finds death and murder interesting 🧐

lazymum99 · 12/07/2023 22:50

i think I’ve been watching too many scandi crime stuff. This is very tame. But I was wrong about teenager and porn. It is the dad with the money! He was getting a bit over friendly with the daughter

I did wonder why there were so many scenes shown with Mia and the boyfriend . Now we know !

lazymum99 · 13/07/2023 22:00

The story has got more exciting. But DD still can’t act.
anyone else watch it live with the ads and saw the Dove advert. It was very powerful

lazymum99 · 13/07/2023 22:01

the last episode is available now

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/07/2023 23:23

I am surprised more aren't watching

We usually love (or love to hate) a ch 5 drama 😂

Tonight's was good.

We found out lots

Poor son. So now he knows his mums is having an affair with his friends dad

And that the friends dad is a perve recording his sister having sex

And a liar trying to split up sister and jet

A joint has made the friend say he is gay

I did wonder if he was going to lunge at him

Plus we know the friends dad was the one who actually hurt the son with the broken wrist and not jet

The only reason Dd hates jet is that he hurt his son but was actually his friend

I'm rubbish with names but hopefully you got the gist

Again I em enjoying

Saw the constipated tortoise expression again when she said she wanted a divorce

So now they ar eroding to have to go and find a stones son in the fires

Wonder why there isn't a bush fire plan like he kept saying

And does the house burn down

Roll on tomorrows

I’ve not started this yet. I’m not good at watching several things live as I get the storylines muddled. So prefer to binge one and finish before starting next. I’ve now finished ‘Crime’ and was going to start ‘Blindspot’ but there’s a few series so that’ll take a good while. Maybe I start this one first. And I’ve still got ‘Desperate Measures’ and ‘Without Sin’ to watch.

martinisforeveryone · 14/07/2023 10:41

I watched episode one and then missed two because of Sewing Bee. I caught up before last night’s episode. For me it’s in that bad but still watchable category, excluding Danny Dyer, who I’ve only ever seen as himself before. He’s just the same in this, except he’s speaking someone else’s lines. Who on earth thinks casting him in acting roles is a good idea? Maybe he has a sideline in hypnotic suggestion.

Apart from your observations @Blondeshavemorefun I’ll add that I don’t believe there is any friend at the fire department or council or wherever he reckons he’s checking with. Even if there was I doubt they’d be easily contactable in the midst of this crisis. There’s clearly no fire plan and his reassurance about the fire break clearance around the house demonstrates incredible naivety give n the location. We all have the same bad feelings, yes?

I feel like someone watched Keeley Hawes in Crossfire and Jill Halfpenny in The Holiday and wrote a mashup, thinking, if we set it in Australia, no one’s going to cotton on.

I used to get excited (probably not the best word) when there were bush fires in Home and Away as I found it so fascinating how people lived with this.

Used to work with a woman who lived near an area affected by bush fires and we kept in touch for a while. I rang her when NSW had bad fires one year and she said that the night before the police thumped on the front door and said 'Get out NOW!' and they'd spent the night on the floor of a community hall. She was expecting the same to happen as we were talking.

daffodilandtulip · 14/07/2023 13:17

Teenage taxi last night so will catch up then watch tonight's live.

KnickerlessParsons · 14/07/2023 13:24

I watched the last one last night.

-Danny Dyer thinks he's still in Eastenders
-None of the characters were likeable
-I wasn't a "thriller"
-It wasn't "dark", as described by DD on The One Show (I think)
-The ending was predictable - I like a plot twist
-How did the Scots guy pay for the house and still have $$$ left over to subsidise DD's debts
-Who would live in such a ridiculous place anyway, with a teenage boy (notwithstanding the beautiful house)
-Why on earth would you wait so long to evacuate with a bush fire heading your way
Why did they all keep going in and out of the "shed" at the end

To summarise - it was pretty crap really.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/07/2023 15:39

The shed was the sex cabin on ground floor on hay bales

And up the stairs wheee the son was growing weed

Pervy dad was filming dd daughter having sex with jet

maybe he is into porn sites and how he makes his money

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 14/07/2023 22:17

Omg

I didn't expect that ending

Kept thinking she would be ok. Stand up. Be found breathing

She's dead 🙀🙀🙀

He deserves to die the fucking pervert esp with wife's update of web cam and young teens

He sent jet to die

Only booked 4 seats

Lied about his friend in the fire

Makes a change to not have a happy ending

But they will all be one happy blended family now

I haven't enjoyed this series at all, but the final episode tonight was really good.
Even Danny Dyer didn't annoy me, I loved him wacking the baddy.
