Blindspot is the story of Hannah Quinn, a disabled woman with a wry sense of humour, who works monitoring the CCTV on a rough estate," reads the official synopsis.

"One day she sees a man she knows is a violent criminal lead a young woman into a blind spot in the camera coverage. He emerges alone but when the police arrive there is no sign of the woman, who appears to have vanished into thin air.

"Hannah is convinced that she has been murdered, but her fears are dismissed by the apathetic and possibly corrupt policeman Tony Warden, who is in charge of the case.

Hannah remains undeterred and will soon find her own life in danger as she fights to discover what really happened in the blind spot."

Former EastEnders (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/soaps/eastenders/) star Ross Kemp will soon make his acting comeback in Channel 5 (https://www.radiotimes.com/tag/channel-5/) thrill
er Blindspot, in which he plays a police detective looking into the case of a missing woman.

Speaking about what drew him to the project, Kemp told RadioTimes.com (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/ross-kemp-return-acting-empowering-blindspot-exclusive-newsupdate/): "The script, it was the story – I thought it was clever, in terms of what the story is about, about people being watched and how people interpret being watched."

Newcomer Beth Alsbury leads the cast as Hannah Quinn
, a disabled woman with "a wry sense of humour" who alerts the authorities to the victim's disappearance.

On Blindspot though, why did she shave her head?
Why didn't those coppers look in the bins?! They definitely would have!
She didn't even pay for her coffee either!
It didn't make sense to me why the killer killed the purple coat girl (who was his partner in crime?) in the first place?? I know she tried to stop him chasing Hannah but no need to kill her.
And knew Ross Kemp would be sadly divorced, cliche alert!

burnoutbabe · 04/07/2023 22:21

It was cheesy yet nice to see a main character, a feisty woman, who happens to be in a wheelchair.

I am wondering what the conspiracy seems to be and why as it seems to be a pretty simple "bad man" Who is after the witness. But clearly not as everyone else is gaslighting her.

daffodilandtulip · 04/07/2023 22:41

I think they're inferring that the council woman and the police are all getting backhanders to protect the killer.

purpleme12 · 04/07/2023 22:57

Oh ok that's weird

daffodilandtulip · 05/07/2023 06:40

I dreamt about a black Croatian in the scary mask coming into my mansion and shooting one of my customers ... let's see how many dramas I can get into one dream 🀣

I think they're inferring that the council woman and the police are all getting backhanders to protect the killer.

It only makes sense really if it's say councillors son?

The first murder seemed totally unplanned.

Then he weirdly decides a year later to replicate the robbery in the sane outfit but kill the girl? Fake it all to Play with leads minds? It's odd.

daffodilandtulip · 05/07/2023 07:59

Or does the councillor just want to prove that crime has been reduced by her cameras so she wins the next election?

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/07/2023 09:22

Oh. I really enjoyed that !!

Tho seems from replies not all did πŸ˜‚

Def something going on

Not sure why the police didn't check the bins when they first checked the alley way

And why they didn't throw the bags out of the bins to check them when Ross Kelly was there

If they checked her cctv they would have seen two people go on in and one out

So know. She was telling the truth

Not sure why she shaved her hair off

Or why she didn't take a pic of him with her phone in the lift to give proof

Who told the masked killer her address

And the telephone call what was arhat about

And no she didn't pay for the coffee

i was assuming head shaving meant she was going non binary but as she seemed to fancy the "HOT MAN" in the park, maybe not.

(i realise i have no idea of her name?)

I shall guess DEAF MAN who she works with is THE BADDY (as we have no other choice beyond "hot man" in park - though she saw his face didn't she?)

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/07/2023 10:52

Her deaf co worker can't be the killer masked man

She would know it was him as saw his face briefly

I assumed Hannah shaved her head as some kind of emotional response to the traumatic opening event of Zoe’s death, but that was just my interpretation, it wasn’t explored in any way.

I was going to say she saw hot park man outside, but she didn’t, it was creepy stare at the camera man who was sat on a bench. How’s he significant? Who gave Tony the bundle of Β£50 notes and why? What’s the deal with Louisa the councillor?

I was also going to say I didn’t like it, didn’t think it was any good, but then I’m intrigued as to the police ineptitude as against corruption and involvement in what’s behind it all and why so many others seem to be involved. I didn’t like the level of violence particularly against innocent women, although Zoe was part of the lure on another innocent wasn’t she until she realised it was Hannah. It felt like the whole estate is mixed up in something Hannah doesn’t know about.

burnoutbabe · 05/07/2023 11:19

it would be weird for the whole estate to be mixed up in something - original crime was "nick a bag off someone" which went wrong.

Well this isn't a high value neighbourhod? you'd only ever be getting bags off neighbours who may have Β£30 or so? so why would anyone protect them particularly?

Hannah did see hot man on the video at the start as she was getting lip reader to read his lips. And yes creapy man was another one on the swings.

martinisforeveryone · 05/07/2023 11:39

Ah yes, creepy swing man, not creepy bench man.

when I said whole estate I was using hyperbole, it’s more a feeling that she won’t know who to turn to to trust. She can’t trust the police, she wasn’t safe going to her own home, her best friend’s mother’s up to no good.

Battering Zoe to death for warning off a potential victim, was incredibly extreme.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/07/2023 11:58

We have two men ?

Hot swing man and creepy man ?

OP posts:
burnoutbabe · 05/07/2023 12:17

hot man was talking to his buddy about the gym and the 2 CCTV people were lip reading.

there was also creapy man who was smiling sat on the swings - longer hair?

i thought they were 2 different men (though creapy smiler could also be who hot man from gym was talking to, we only saw back of him)

so who was bench man??

martinisforeveryone · 05/07/2023 12:27

No bench man, I got swing and bench mixed up. As you were πŸ˜€

martinisforeveryone · 05/07/2023 12:32

Her hot man had dark hair and my/her creepy man has lighter hair. When he was on the swing he made a point of staring at the cctv camera as if to unnerve whoever was observing. Get the feeling he knows it’s Hannah?

Later as she was out in her wheelchair he passed by, with another man, and he kind of fixed on her. Again, it was a creepy, knowing look as if to unsettle her.

Thats my recollection. I wasn’t paying 100% attention.

daffodilandtulip · 05/07/2023 13:15

I think the head shaving was a trauma response, and wanting to change her appearance as she knows the mask man would be back to get her, as she was a witness and saw his face.

Ah yes that makes sense, although the black leather jacket and wheelchair might give it away!

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/07/2023 14:14

Yes her friend shouting hannah ans her being in a wheelchair makes her easy to find
