In bed with a nasty bout of Covid so have given myself permission to binge 😂

Loved Kerri Russell in the Americans so fingers crossed. Rufus Sewell as the Husband also great casting.

Just finished episode 2, I enjoyed episode 2 more than episode 1, I will continue to watch it, but don't feel the need to binge watch it (thankfully). I agree about the hair, looked like she didn't ever bother to brush it.

I loved it. It made me think of the West Wing but I agree, nothing can be as good as the west wing.

Anyone got a recommendation for something genuinely from a female perspective? Just finished Strike and loved that.

@wiffin , one of my favourite ever shows with a strong and believable female lead is Borgen, but only watch if you don’t mind subtitles.

She's having mad tussles in the garden with her husband watched by staff and walking across stony paths and large expanses of lawn including under trees in her stocking feet and not flinching. It is very silly.

Only on episode 3 atm but finding the continuity errors distracting- Kerri Russel's hair goes from tousled and desperately needing a wash to blowed out and straight and back again as she moves from location to location.

Spoiler thread here for anyone who's finished watching. There are definitely some continuity problems - there's a scene where she is drinking whisky with the Foreign Secretary and sometimes the glasses are full and others empty.

KR was doing bad Meg Ryan and I hate that skinny woman who wolfs down croissants and cheese trope.

The whole thing had a kind of dated vibe to it.

Series 2 back today, the Guardian has given it a 5 star review, I can't wait to start on the series later this evening.

Unfortunately I’ve agreed to watch it with DH but I might watch it and feign surprise at the right moments 😂
