New police drama set in Northern Ireland is shown on monday 9pm slot.

Also available on BBC iPlayer.

Most newspaper reviews are raving about it, except for one.

Written by the same people who wrote The Salisbury Poisonings.

They first met as local journalists in Belfast.

ClaudiaWinklepanda · 29/03/2024 03:32

You’re welcome!

Just starting to watch series 1 with my daughter.

For various reasons, we don't watch stuff with sex, nudity or sexual violence in it.

Is this safe?

Thanks.

Have only just seen this post, and although a while since i watched in there wasn't much in terms of nudity / sex.

BUT in parts there is very realistic and shocking depictions of violence and intimidation.

Not done as a gore fest, but trying to convey the reality of violence.

It gets very violent in a couple of scenes. Especially when a parent has to take their son out to be kneecapped - you don’t see much but you know what’s happening. I found that quite difficult. But sadly, it’s a very stark reality and it happens

BlueSlate · 15/04/2024 07:42

Thanks. She's fine with violence but is very uncomfortable with sex, nudity and sexual violence because it feels unnecessary and exploitative to her.

We'll give it a go then.

I think there are already 2 threads, one for binge watchers and one for week by week.

And no reason why if anyone wants to keep this thread going it cant be commented on here!
