I’d completely forgotten the public voting element! It’s really not apparent this season.

Also yes to a few days of them all getting to know each other casually, without the immediate pressure to form couples.

Giving them chess or pool, poker trivial pursuit etc should be allowed definitely not even permanently every so often for a few hours and also communal meals

Some of the highest rated changes lists on Reddit when it was asked one day ago:

1. Scrap the morning chats PLEASE! We don’t need a recap of what we just saw and we don’t need to know what they’re about to do, let’s just see them do it!

1. Bring back going to hideaway for dates and deciding whether to stay for the night or not.

1. Hideaway votes: sometimes the public can choose two random islanders to spend the night in the hideaway

1. Scrap the dance challenges and focus on the ones that cause drama: Mugged off, headline, ranking etc.

1. Every other week should have a public vote and we should get to decide who leaves sometimes

1. Actual benefits to winning challenges: phone call home, choose 1 person to do x with

1. More fun stuff like couples going shopping and cooking for the villa. I would even like to see the girls go to the salon or the boys getting their hair cut.

1. Couples shouldn’t be allowed to sleep outside together if they’re not in an official couple. You can sleep alone, but not with someone else you like and aren’t coupled with.

1. Maybe once during a season, the public should decide who couples up with who?

10. During or after Casa, public gets to bring back one islander dumped before Casa Amor

1. start showing real/funny conversations, not the “wheres ur head at” that we constantly see
2. raise the drinking limits
3. do more interesting challenges that actually have rewards
4. no more producer interference PLEASE
5. make the dates more fun
6. let the public actually decide who goes home, don’t leave it up to the islanders

1. Scrap the Unseen Bits show and mix the fun and silliness into the main show. Even at this late stage we know very little about the non romantic relationships between the islanders and never see chats other than the absolutely turgid ‘where’s your head at’ ones. If we don’t get to see the islanders personalities then it’s hard to care enough to root for them.
2. Have the initial coupling up at the end of the first week so they can actually all get to know each other without being constrained by whoever happens to step forward for them.
3. More public votes - this series has had exactly one so far which is ridiculous.
4. Less frequent bombshells and generally cast islanders who have a shred of personality, not just hot people who have coasted on their looks.
5. Literally any challenge that’s not pointless dancing in a costume - obviously the tweet challenge has been scrapped, but a ranking challenge like they had in S3 or S7 would be interesting, or something along the lines of ‘Mugged Off’ where they had to guess who said what.

Maybe unpopular opinion: it annoys me how anything a man, woman, other grouping class does now is " Toxic ..."

Watching now and I think Rosie us quite pretty, not necessarily best looking out of the girls for bombshell status but fits in

I watched it. 1 of the judges was American, I assume that was who went with Jake. So ridiculous. Tommy was far better and totally deserved his win.

Jake Paul's brother is even more of a dick than him and started screaming Tommy and his family were bitches between rounds. I'm surprised he wasn't kicked out.

Tommy cried his eyes out after, it was very emotional.

I think the issue with the 'headlines, tweet, etc' challenges is that a few seasons back the public became outraged of how it seemed to upset the islanders? People were screaming about mental health etc.

As for phone calls back home Ellie mentioned that they got to speak to their families for 10 min at a time. I agree though about giving rewards like dates or maybe even some time alone. They used to reward the winner in the past.

I think part of the issue nowdays is that people are playing it safe. It's possible if there was no producer interference that no one would do anything controversial. In the older days people didn't seem to care much or maybe it was the higher alcohol allowance which I understand why they are hesitant provide now.

I like this, so the viewer knows who likes who, but they don’t! Far more interesting.

There needs to be a Channel 5 competitor. More spontaneous and less PG.

I would sack all the current producers and Ian Stirling, who is awful. No more IG cast recruitment. Just needs a total shakeup. The early seasons were a million times better.

Three days of The Circle first. Text communication only - no visuals. Then they meet the person they’ve been talking to most. One day face to face. Then the public votes: either to keep people in couples or, if they’re not compatible, to send one of the couple home.

(I adore The Circle. It requires far more brain power than most of the islanders display …)

I feel sorry for Claudia, I don't think she is that invested in Casey but feels humiliated in front of the others and that combined with the heightened atmosphere and no distractions makes it hard to get a sense of perspective.

I'm a bit on the fence about Casey now. I don't think he's doing anything massively wrong and he does appear to feel awful about it. I know it's similar to what Ron did, but Ron was far more invested in Lana at the time. I did think it a bit much when he told Rosie that Claudia was really into him, but he seemed to do that to explain why he couldn't be doing any PDA.

PS, I fell asleep at the end again so need to catch up. I had a double header of last nights and Fridays so think it was totally acceptable that I nodded off 😂

Also, if the show is to have a shake up, it needs to have something really engaging at the beginning. I always find the opening days of big brother really boring and takes me a while to get into it. I always liked that LI does the stepping forward thing, as find it interesting who fancies who physically first, then see if it changes when personalities come through.

My scoring was matched with Froch, I'd def question the judge who gave it to Paul, I think that was done clearly on the Fury hitting the deck. Wasn't the most exciting I've ever seen.

I'm just catching up on aftersun, Claudia's mum and sister sitting there looks just like Claudia and Lana sitting together 😂

I like martin's honesty that he really wasn't attracted to anyone else.

Also, been catching up on some podcasts and reminds me that why on movie night were we shown stuff that wasn't from casa - movie night used to be only stuff from casa - was there so little going on or was it they were desperate to find some beef (ie going all the way back to Zara for find something on Shaq)?

Thing is, neither of them are interesting or entertaining so I find myself not really caring either way 😂

Or even everyone is single and then after a few days they all (boys and girls) vote who to couple each other up with...I haven't quite worked out the details yet!
