Can anyone recommend any tv series like the office (us) and schitts creek please?

Desperately in need of light-hearted but good viewing!

I have Amazon prime, Netflix and sky.

(Not a fan of shows with the audience laughing in (if that makes sense!), friends, big bang etc.)

I recently enjoyed the Conners... Roseanne spin off/sequel, but without Roseanne. Nostalgic, easy viewing. Schitts Creek still my favourite though.

Extraordinary on Disney

Parks and rec is amazing, especially once you get into Season 2. It's worth keeping going if you struggle to get into season 1 because the rest is some of the best tv I've ever seen!

When I rewatch parks and rec, which is quite often, I now skip series 1.

Same with Brooklyn 99. They’re good to get the storyline straight but they definitely get better with time.

Ahhh this show is my happy warm place. I want to be friends with Lesley and despite knowing he's a dodgy fella, I think Rob Lowe is so HOT in it.

The American Office was definitely a slow burner but such a good show. Steve Carell is excellent and every now and then Michael Scott has genuine flashes of genius

Brooklyn 99!! It's so funny, easy watching.

Parks and recreation is also great, but a bit more quirky.

If you like motherland I highly recommend working moms on Netflix

100% The Good Place. My go to cheer me up series!

Nothing beats Schitts Creek imo but Superstore gave you the same nice funny odd-family vibe.

The Big Bang Theory.

Slightly different from other suggestions but I found it so funny and entertaining. I also second Parks and Recreation.

Am following this as we're coming to the end of Schitt's Creek. Can highly recommend Parks and Rec, and Brooklyn 99.

It's a bit sweary and perhaps inappropriate at times for kids but I loved Young Offender's on Iplayer.

The tuna episode and when billy takes the bus passengers hostage are my favourites.

I think I’m obviously watching too much telly as I’ve seen roughly 95% of the suggestions and some more than once as I’ve introduced them to my adult children.

Superstore, the us version of Ghosts is good too. Modern family?

I really enjoyed girls5ever on Netflix about a girl group getting back together in their 40s

It's an interesting premise, not laugh out loud, but funny and thoughtful.

I also got 2 books from it "The Forking Trolley" - which you will get if you have watched it

Try Bonus Family - Swedish comedy drama on Netflix now and very enjoyable. Another who loves parks & rec and modern family
