Why would you put yourself forward for a TV quiz show when your general knowledge is APPALLING?

When you confidently proclaim that you know about geography/rivers then think that the Thames runs through Cambridge? Or when you think that out of "feline/cat" and "alpine/alpaca", that Alpaca is correct? Or that alkaline refers to frogs, and guillotine to gulls?

Fuck me. The producers are clearly testing people, discarding those of average intelligence or above in order to keep the budget down.

Watching it now and the contestant has no clue what the commonwealth even means.. so funny. Great guessing though!

Maireas · 16/02/2023 17:04

She managed to guess quite well. It's extraordinary to have absolutely no idea about the Commonwealth, though - France was one of her choices.

Cleebope2 · 16/02/2023 17:07

My dd and ds who are around their age wouldn’t have aclue about the Commonwealth either..I despair! But they wouldn’t go on any quiz show as they know they know nothing! These kids are doing pretty well though overall!

They are - I think Nathan is quite good.

You should apply! Raise the standard...

A team of amoebas would have raised the standard from yesterday! Only saw the last few minutes today and they seemed better, but frankly that wouldn't have been hard. <still scarred>

@Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g 😂😂😂
Yes, those estate agents were something...

Quite ironic that it’s called Bridge of Lies with a couple of particular contestants on today’s episode.
