Oh Mindy's singing, weird outfits and generally Emily the superwoman who can pull everything off is just starting to make the show go downhill for me and when everything goes tits up, there's still no consequences especially when she posted that picture with the French fashion rival guy sitting on a rimowa suitcase with Pierre's face. Normal marketing executives will touch base with everyone before sharing. I worked in Marketing in my previous life and that's not how it works with Emily waltzing around with amazing ideas on the spot that no one possibly in the french office can ever think of apart from Emily with this limitless budget she has from clients, where she saves the world and only Emily from Chicago can do it but then again it's only tv.

I finished watching it today.

I'm still as underwhelmed.

I think they should have summed it up and ended it after season 2.

Emily is just bloody annoying now.

Is this the wrong demographic for the show? I find it such a laugh. Sylvie's searing words, Luc's carefully directed silliness...Emily and stuff like she dropped her crepe....hashtag oh crepe! 😂

it's the kind of silly comedy I like and I feel we don't have much of that type of thing.

Just started watching the first series. I really really hate it, yet for some reason am already on the 10th episode. My daughter thinks I like watching things I can moan about because that's my favourite hobby 🤣

I love the scenery, the food, the clothes and the language. But my God, Emily is awful. She's arrogant, disloyal, and again arrogant. Gabriel is also disloyal and sleazy. Mindy is also awful - minimising/encouraging Emily's shitty behaviour.

I do really like Sylvie and Camille though.

I love Luc, think he’s so loveable and funny. I also liked seeing more of Sylvie this season. Didn’t like the outfits Emily or Mindy wore. I kinda feel the series made you really dislike Emily for always jumping down people’s throats.
The ending wasn’t great in my opinion. It was too out of the blue for me.
I quite liked Alfie though, he was more entertaining than Gabriel this season!

yes, which is exactly why I felt sympathy when Julien said "don't you have an off switch?" It really reminds me of Sex and the City in the writing structure. We're going to go through a lot with these characters - I hope they make more. And I love the soundtrack.

I'm only really watching for the Paris scenery and to hear the French. Nothing changes much from when I lived there over 20 years ago!

Mindy's outfits were horrific, who goes to watch a movie in the park dressed as a dominatrix ffs. Her and Nicolas's relationship had 0 chemistry and he's horrible.

Emily wore an outfit that I absolutely ADORED and would copy if I ever went anywhere apart from work or the school run, the multicoloured fluffy jumper with the little skirt and the shiny over knee boots. Loved it. A lot of the rest were so ott.

Luc is my FAVE, absolutely love him.

Lucien Laviscount is northern, I think he does a pretty decent Essex/east London accent but I find British accents always sound put on when surrounded by American ones (Emily in Friends being by far the worst)

@KateMcCallister , that's interesting about Lucien, he is northern in a film on Amazon called Your Christmas or mine, it's a fun film.

I love Sylvie's clothes. Well, not the outfit she and Madeleine both chose for the show, but the day to day stuff.

I'm glad they ended Emily and Alfie. I quite like him but it was so unbelievable as she is too self obsessed.

Mindy's outfits became more and more ridiculous (rubber dom outfit to an outdoor picnic? Boob flashing outfit to an engagement party in the countryside??) and Emily's too. I can't believe Sylvie would allow her to walk around like that representing the company. When I lived in France they were so judgy over clothes (with reason to be fair, the majority of French women looked chic but understated all the time.)

I believe Camille is pregnant, it's the only thing which makes sense for her to continue with Gabriel.

I can't really see what Gabriel sees in Emily though.

I think series 4 may be a put down in there for Emily- with Sylvia saying she sees what Julien means with being jumped over with ideas by Emily. Maybe series 4 will be her growing up, and realising that she's brash and self involved, at least a little?

Why would Camille call off the wedding if she'd manipulated it into happening though? Just because she couldn't deny any longer how Gabriel felt about Emily? Camille needs to get with the female artist on an official basis.

Love Sylvie but was getting sick of seeing so much of her chest with those deep V dresses.

I will give it a watch! I have to say I don't know why they had him do a London accent, was that for the benefit of US viewers do you think? Daphne in Frasier didn't seem to stump people with her Mancunian accent

I mainly watch for Sylvie's fit husband.

I actually really liked Nicolas and Mindy, it seemed a natural progression from Benoit.

I do think cami is pregnant but I wonder if it’s really Gabriel’s. I don’t feel like I need to see cami and Gabriel trying to coparent with Emily and the Greek gf.
surely we have to see Gabriel and Emily give it a go though by the end of the next series, after 3 or 4 rounds of will they won’t they.

Maybe we are building up to emily growing up a bit, she may get in trouble at work, learn more about being French and being a bit more of a team player. Especially with more serious issues like a baby around.

I just really don't want there to be a baby, that would spoil all the fun.

To PP - I do absolutely love this program as well as poking fun. It’s absolutely everything you want to indulge in for a bit of luxury French escapism, from the lavender in a chateau with its own chapel to the smoking and a tiny Parisian apartment, the ridiculous fashion and squabbles and extended foodie scenes. Plus female representation and hot men. Made my bed bound cold bug over Xmas worthwhile!!

I hope not or maybe there will be and Gabriel and Camille will disappear from the storyline. I heard from a French friend that Parisian women tend to have babies later in life after living it or have none at all. So I assume Camille is like late 20s but we could be wrong. I've never liked Camille with her scheming mother but what Emily did is also unacceptable and Gabriel going back to her as soon as she dates Alfie. I mean why go back to a relationship where you doubted your gf so much just because your love affair didn't work out.

still have no idea why Benoit wants his song on Eurovision, isn't that a route to killing your career? Is it different in other countries maybe?

@EmmaEmerald and maybe hope Mindy chokes on Eurovision 😄 but I'm guessing it gives Mindy the opportunity to resurface after her failed stint on Chinese pop star to give the middle finger to those that have taunted her.
