Can't see a thread. What is this shite?

No

So if more than one traitor is left at the end, nobody wins anything?

They must have some new method set up for when it's down to the last three or four.

ralieghnc · 13/12/2022 18:12

Me and DD are absolutely gripped, though I must admit some parts make me uncomfortable. I think it will be a one-off show, if they were to repeat it then they’d have to completely change the formula, and the participants would be influenced by having watched the first series.

The part earlier on, where Alyssa questions why Nicky didn’t raise her glass and Nicky points out it was on wrong side, was thoroughly uncomfortable. I can very much understand Nicky’s annoyance, and I can’t believe it didn’t occur to Alyssa (as sweet as she is). I’m suprised they put that bit in. I did notice the BAME participants are disproportionately targeted at the beginning, maybe just a coincidence but I was uncomfortable. I wonder if it’s evidence of unconscious bias. Imran got ganged up on for not being emotional enough (?!), but John got away with bullying and some other stiff-upper lip characters like Andrea and Rayan fly mostly under the radar. The murder of Aisha seems to make more sense to me, I can understand the traitors reasons for wanting to get rid of her rather than being utterly baffled.
But the ganging up on Fay by the Faithfuls also seems off.

Didn’t like John’s bullying of Aaron at all. That man just doesn’t let up, me and DD cheered when he was murdered, odious man. He reminds me of my narcissistic, gaslighting ex. I feel like he’d be horrid to be in a relationship with, you’d be walking on eggshells. I’m glad Matt and Tom are gone, hope Alex goes soon (I’m a bit behind, 2 episodes behind I think) The love triangle was pathetic. I really hope she doesn’t become a traitor and steal the Traitors thunder. Alex is an influencer for her job, and I feel like so far it’s been The Alex Show (everybody going on about how beautiful she is, and men falling at her feet), and it’s made it feel more like Love Island than a psychological game show. Nothing against her, I just don’t get what they are doing with her in the show and she’s being pushed more than the others. A show like this shouldn’t have somebody being pushed as the ‘main character’.

Amanda is absolutely bloody brilliant! A Welsh firecracker. I could watch her all day. She’s incredibly intelligent, and plays them all like a fiddle. Maybe it’s because as a middle aged women I feel I can relate to her more, or maybe she is just fabulous. I’m sure her DC are loving watching her in this! I hope she gets all the money! I like how she’s effortlessly established herself as the leading Traitor as well.

ralieghnc · 13/12/2022 18:15

To clarify what I said about Aisha, I mean that she does seem switched on and like she’d be onto the traitors. Whereas I don’t get the ganging up on Fay and Imran.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 13/12/2022 18:16

I think if a traitor or traitors remain at the end, they get to split the pot regardless of how many faithful are left. For the faithful to get the money, there must be no traitors left.

I also like Maddy, but she seems to really rub Meryl the wrong way. Why does Meryl get so aggressive with her?

I think it's because Maddie just randomly denounced Meryl as a Traitor based on a bonkers theory. And now she's locked
Into that theory and continues to accuse Meryl

Meryls backs completely up.

Because Maddy gets a bee in her bonnet about someone and continuously insists that person is a traitor. She has done it numerous times. It’s ok to accuse someone of being a traitor, that’s the game but she is like a dog with a bone once she gets a name in her head.

I hope she is killed soon. I find her annoying.

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 18:50

But she's right!

ralieghnc · 13/12/2022 18:56

I think I admire that Maddy actually attempts to use logic and form a theory, she doesn’t jump on the bandwagon. I mean, look at Meryl putting Tom down for banishment and then saying “I knew he was a faithful”. Maddy holds her own, and isn’t letting the ridicule change her opinion.

I think Meryl was simply saying, "I knew it
Was one of them but I chose the wrong one".

That's a fairly innocuous comment but
Maddie just hopped on that and now won't drop it.

Twonewcats · 13/12/2022 19:15

I'm joining in now that I've caught up.

I'm getting irrationally annoyed at how often they seem to be upset at people lying to them, when it's the entire premise of the show 😆

Itaintwhatyoudoitsthewaythatyoudoit · 13/12/2022 19:28

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 18:50

But she's right!

She really isn’t any more ‘right’ than anyone else. She said Aaron. He isn’t a traitor. She said Will. He is. She said Tom. He wasn’t. She said Alyssa. I think? She is. She said Meryl. She isn’t.

Mouldyfoodhelp · 13/12/2022 19:57

My TV guide says it's on tonight.i dislike Tom having seen him on some tiktoks

Yeah, that does make me laugh.

It's called The Traitors. What did they expect would happen?

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 20:53

Seven minutes to go!

lljkk · 13/12/2022 20:58

well I got that wrong, thought it was next one on14th.

This is better !!

EdieLedwell · 13/12/2022 21:02

Here we go!

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 21:08

Will they kill her??

Jellykat · 13/12/2022 21:11

Well i am surprised Alex said no

EdieLedwell · 13/12/2022 21:13

Why didn't she say they tried to recruit her?

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 21:13

She thinks they might not believe her and it will cause suspicion.

EdieLedwell · 13/12/2022 21:14

That's true.

dapsnotplimsolls · 13/12/2022 21:15

Won't they kill Alex as soon as they can? Or will she conveniently win immunity?

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 21:16

The shield is a total set up so it'll go to whoever the producers want to get it.

MendaciousMabel · 13/12/2022 21:17

“I played a woman without a womb on casualty” Maddy really does make me laugh!
