She called out Alyssa as well I believe

The trouble with Maddy is it’s a bit like saying you backed the winner of the Grand National when you’ve put money on three quarters of the runners.

How so? She's been gunning for Wilf.

She has indeed, but she’s also mentioned numerous other people

MajesticWhine · 12/12/2022 21:59

I'm just catching up on Thursday. Poor Alyssa. Will was very dramatic with all that crying. I don't think he can last.

Itaintwhatyoudoitsthewaythatyoudoit · 13/12/2022 00:03

Amanda is playing the game as it should be played.

I'm not a fan of Wilf. Too overly dramatic.
Maddie is saying everyone's name so has to be right at some stage.

Alex will definitely join the traitors. She will try to get one of the existing ones out. Tom was insufferable and so openly manipulative. He must be a very bad magician.
I guess that the prize money will be shared among the existing traitors so the fewer of them the better.

tobee · 13/12/2022 01:39

Btw I'm loving all the contestants nails! Bit summery for now perhaps!!!

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 07:14

*Amanda is playing the game as it should be played.

Clearly. But how? I can't figure out her game plan. She's not being super quiet like Alyssa or overly dramatic like Wilf, I guess. But neither are most of them. How is she suckering them all so well?

Because she's nice and friendly, a bit mumsy, not quiet, not loud.

People like her and trust her.

She's just being herself

BareBelliedSneetch · 13/12/2022 10:05

From what we’ve seen Amanda isn’t dropping names into the mix, but is agreeing when other people do.

She’s not blatantly trying to distract from herself or the other traitors, which is what I think will get Maddy (“you’re trying to deflect attention - you must be a traitor”), but making positive noises when other people do, so she doesn’t seem to be not doing anything.

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 10:13

I wonder if the traitors should kill Maddy. On the one hand, she's gunning so hard for Wilf that it will either incriminate him or look like he's been framed. On the other, as long as she's alive, she could be a traitor and Meryl for one is really sick of her and suspects her. So having her around is good deflection.

It seems from the teaser that whatever Alex decides, it's known that the traitors can recruit. If she doesn't accept, maybe they should kill her. A warning to others...this is an offer you can't refuse!

I think she will accept, though. Out of curiosity if nothing else!

MincePiesSparklyEyesAndNaturalHighs · 13/12/2022 10:18

It's on tonight according to my TV guide

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 13/12/2022 10:21

I don't know whether she will accept or not. There are arguments on both sides. What would be funny is if at breakfast she announced that the traitors had tried to recruit her and she'd said no. And then everyone (like Spartacas) goes 'Me too!'.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 13/12/2022 10:27

Yes I thought I heard a trailer on the radio saying it was tonight as well.

Yay!

martha4clark · 13/12/2022 10:28

She will definitely accept the invite to be a traitor. She's an 'actress & presenter' and will grab any opportunity to have more time on camera.

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 10:31

TONIGHT?

YAAAAY!

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 13/12/2022 10:37

Yes apparently there's a 'dramatic confession around the round table' tonight which changes everything.

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 11:30

Could be the revelation that the traitors can recruit?

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 13/12/2022 11:48

No, I think from the trailer that they are told about that at breakfast. I wonder if Alex accepts (purely to find out who they are) and then at the round table stands up and says she's been recruited as a traitor but can't stand the deceit and fully accepts that she's broken the traitors' rules so must leave and then she goes off with Tom and becomes the next Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee. That would be some twist!

Or maybe Claudia will confess that she doesn't use spray tan but drank too much Sunny D as a child.

Or maybe like a certain Netflix show it's not going to be very exciting at all Grin

Someone knows who one of the traitors is....

Tom said in an interview that anyone who admits to being a traitor gets thrown off the programme with no share in the prize pot. Makes sense, as it ruins the whole game.

As stressful as it is to maintain the lie, I think there's more pressure not to ruin the whole show.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 13/12/2022 12:05

Provided she doesn't out other traitors I don't think it spoils the show and it shows her in a good light regarding future presenting/acting gigs. But yes she'd have to leave. In her interview she didn't seem too fussed about the money.

But I'm speculating, the Claudia theory is just as likely!

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 12:09

I don’t think wrecking the show/breaking the no-disclosure rule would make her at all attractive for future TV gigs! She's an actress, she should be brilliant at maintaining the role and fooling people. And she shouldn't do things that cause headaches to producers, which admitting to being a traitor would do.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 13/12/2022 12:16

i don't know, I think it would spice things up actually. The Traitors think they've turned someone and then it turns out they haven't, can you imagine Wilf's (over) reaction?

What I think is more likely is that Alex accepts but votes for Amanda at the Round Table and there's nothing Amanda can do about it. I don't think any dragon threats would work on Alex.

ReneBumsWombats · 13/12/2022 12:22

It's against the contract for a traitor to admit it. It messes up the formula for ejecting contestants and selecting traitors. Nobody who wants to work in TV should get a reputation for breaking contracts and giving the producers a huge headache.

If they all know the traitors have recruited and Alex suddenly guns for someone they don't currently suspect, it's going to be a bit too obvious that Alex knows stuff they don't...

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 13/12/2022 12:44

She'll have certainly broken the Traitors' oath but not sure about her contract.

Anyway, less than 9 hours to go, haven't looked forward to a TV programme like this for ages. The BBC have played a blinder not releasing it all at once on iPlayer.
