The Our Girl Addicts Thread 66 Stay focused, Stay alert, Stay alive and carry on....spying

We started to follow Our Girl back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of Soldier Soldier to keep up our military terminology and have galloped through all three series of The Musketeers. There was a definite connection between Our Girl and The Musketeers in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We have now agreed to watch the old BBC series of Spooks and are currently in the middle of series 3. Please join in if this grabs your attention.

woman down!! It doesn't look good.

Ilovelblue · 15/02/2023 21:58

I w asn't expecting that but it's too late. Farouk is dead but I think Fiona is too badly wounded to survive either.

Oh dear, the MI5 Angels are singing, which is never a good sign.

eejittwo · 15/02/2023 21:59

I shouldn’t have tempted providence with speculation.

Rhubarb01 · 15/02/2023 22:00

Well, the taster for the next episode makes it certain. RIP Fiona.

Ilovelblue · 15/02/2023 22:01

Phew. Well that kept us on our toes and it was easier to understand than some of the others we've watched recently.

Now eejit do we want a break next week and reconvene the following week?

Holy Spirit, she was a good soul bless her

I can’t do next week at all, but I can do Mon, Tues and Thursday of the week after

Magi84 · 15/02/2023 22:02

Abject apologies ladies. Got caught up in two phone calls and a neighbour worrying about a lost cat so found the 9pm start had come and gone. I can see this has been a bit of a traumatic episode so will watch it tomorrow and will hopefully be with you for whichever date you decide on.

Hawkins003 · 15/02/2023 22:03

My apologies for lack of input, I'll catch up asap.

All the best with the Kittie, they are lovely animals

Ilovelblue · 15/02/2023 22:06

eejit Tuesday or Thursday would suit me best but Monday is also ok if that's what everyone else decides.

I can do any of those, so will wait for the consensus of opinion.

Rhubarb01 · 15/02/2023 22:13

Can I suggest the Tuesday? That would be Tuesday 28th February.

This might be the time to say I can't do Weds 15th March as I will be away. But if everyone else can do that day, then just go ahead and I will catch up later.

Ilovelblue · 15/02/2023 22:15

Tues 28 Feb it is then.

And as for 15 March, you are a committed member of the group Rhu so if you're around at some other point that week, we'll fit round you.

Fine for Tuesday 28th. Thought you might like an update on the cat. We have a farm near us and they have Buzzards to help keep down the vermin. Beautiful birds that we see most days in the sky. Amazing wingspan. Anyway my neighbour was convinced for some reason that a buzzard had swooped down and taken her cat. A lovely little pure white animal who doesn't usually wander far from home. Anyway cut a long story short Olive (that's the cat) strolled home about 20 minutes ago looking very ruffled but otherwise unharmed. panic over.

Ilovelblue · 15/02/2023 22:30

Ah thanks for that Magi. Pets are such a worry when they go walkabouts. I bet the owner will keep her indoors tonight!

Awwwwwwwwww very understandable and much appreciated for the update.

I'm easy on the dates, I'll follow the groups agreement.

I could only manage the Monday evening of that week - the 13th of March. If that's not suitable then I'll leave it the rest of you to decide what you want to do.

eejittwo · 16/02/2023 18:59

See you all on the 28th and 13th March okay with me. I might be off the Valium by then🤣 Too much excitement going on up here! 😁

Rhubarb01 · 28/02/2023 18:26

Yes, got my alarm set. See you on parade at 9pm!

eejittwo · 28/02/2023 20:52

Yup - just got to sort out the demanding cats. Is there any other kind?
