We started to follow Our Girl back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of Soldier Soldier to keep up our military terminology and have galloped through all three series of The Musketeers. There was a definite connection between Our Girl and The Musketeers in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We have now agreed to watch the old BBC series of Spooks and are currently in the middle of series 3. Please join in if this grabs your attention.

How about we go for Monday 6th then again Monday 13th then? Sorry you can't join us that week Magi. Are you being like the late Her Majesty and having an official birthday as well as your other celebrations recently.

Don't know what you think ladies but I was pondering on having a little break from Spooks when we finish this series and going back to revist OG again? I might be in love with Adam Carter (when he's not wearing those awful baggy trousers) but my first loves were CJ and Elvis! I could never make my mind up between the two of them. I wondered about series 2 in Kenya
when we are first introduced to cheeky chappy Elvis. Oh that scene when they jump out of the helicopter. Here come the boys!

Nothing so upmarket as an Official Birthday ilove but on the other hand something I am looking forward to. We have some French friends coming to stay and it is quite a nice little reunion as we have not seen them since the first lockdown put paid to our plans. So I honestly couldn't see myself sloping off at 9pm one evening to join you all.

I like your idea of having a little break from Spooks and going back to what I suppose we must call our first love "Our Girl". Series 2 is a good choice I think as both CJ and Elvis are there. All episodes after that series seemed to go in a downward spiral. CJ didn't seem the same person and then to lose Elvis was just the bitter end. Series 1 was CJ at his best.

Happy to go with tomorrow and the 13th. Also like the idea of a foray into OG again. Talking of series 3...and those episodes we try to pretend didn't happen...interesting that Olly Rix has been in Call The Midwife. I always think of oranges and apples when I see him and that dreadful character he played. Never have I been so unmoved by such a dramatic exit. It was indeed a very strange interlude.

Glad you liked my idea ladies. Am sure eejit won't object to seeing Elvis again when she checks in again. I wonder if I can remember all the words in series 2? It's quite a while since I watched it.

How lovely for you Magi. Fully get that you can't sneak off for a Spooks watchalong when you have visitors!

I agree Rhu about Olly Rix. He played a very strange and dislikeable character in OG. He was much better suited to his part in Call The Midwife

Monday 6th is best for me. Wednesdays are usually good for me, but I’ve had a lot of one-offs or things that don’t normally happen on Wednesdays recently.

There are some very good moments in the first three and two-thirds episodes of Series 3, when I can fast forward through The Obnoxious Brat. Like ‘’the chat’ with Maisie and the arrival at the FOB, when Rab spots the bullet wound. Oh, and the other helicopter incident when it all goes a bit Pete Tong.

This is another of my favourites. Big sigh....
