We started to follow Our Girl back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of Soldier Soldier to keep up our military terminology and have galloped through all three series of The Musketeers. There was a definite connection between Our Girl and The Musketeers in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We have now agreed to watch the old BBC series of Spooks and are currently in the middle of series 3. Please join in if this grabs your attention.

I may have to re-watch last week’s episode, as I can’t remember what happened, so much else has been going on since then (mainly wall to wall Harry, everywhere I turn).

I know what you mean eejit. I prefer binge watching these days because otherwise I tend to forget to even watch! However I did read something recently which suggested the old week-by-week format was better for remembering details and sometimes I think they might have a point because late-night, back -to-back viewing does tend to make things more hazy.

Enjoy more celebrations Magi! I too had a big birthday ending in zero last year and my celebrations lasted nearly five months off and on.

As you know I did binge watch Spooks up to series 6 but it had some similarities to covid in the early episodes and it was a bit too close for comfort at the time and I stopped watching. I spent many evenings watching back to back episodes - it was addictive.

How has everyone's weather been? The rain was absolutely torrential yesterday. I almost thought the animals were about to line up two by two.

Yes, Ruth was at GCHQ and joined the grid on secondment or liaison, much to the suspicion of the team. I wouldn't be surprised if her intellect had brought her to the attention of the powers that be and she was recognised as a woman with superior skills. She certainly has an amazing ability to analyse and recall all manner of obscure details, and all this lurking beneath an unassuming and slightly diffident veneer.
