While I think it was the right decision, I enjoyed a few of Jayde's performances, and generally like her.

PrincessScarlett · 23/10/2022 19:32

100% the right decision. And not because I hated Jayde but because I hated the constant gushing and over marking from the judges when she was clearly the worst dancer.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 23/10/2022 19:32

Poor Molly though

Emotionalsupportviper · 23/10/2022 19:33

Jayde would have been a lot more popular if the judges hadn't showed her such obvious favouritism.

Shhhdontsay · 23/10/2022 19:33

NooNakedJacuzziness · 23/10/2022 19:30

No more nose boops!

This is the main reason I'm pleased she's gone! I usually like Karen, but the nose boops and the cuddles were just bizarre and cringe.
I don't think Jayde was terrible, and I actually applaud her for asking to go with a girl so that she wouldn't have to be lifted.......but, def right that she's left. Tony next would be fair, but I'd miss him!

Musermum · 23/10/2022 19:33

Poor Molly. Right result. Anyone ever gone out on a CC?

Tabbouleh · 23/10/2022 19:34

Is that all the "causes" dancers gone? The ones representing something or the other? I don't include Ellie S in that category because she actually can dance.

LucyLastikk · 23/10/2022 19:34

keepcalm11 · 23/10/2022 19:26

Motsi its still Saturday night

But they have to pretend it's Sunday night and we're watching it live on Sunday (despite playing trailers earlier this evening 🤔🙄!) - hence all the costume changes by the judges and presenters!

EsmaCannonball · 23/10/2022 19:37

I only tuned in on time tonight by accident. Why are they messing with the time of their flagship show?

Becky Hill was awful. Could they not find a guest artiste who was more celebratory of the BBC centenary?

Like a lot of comedians, Jayde is very serious and earnest. I think she misjudged what people want from Strictly. We want to see people, like Tony or both the Ellies, having fun. One of the joys of Rose last year was how funny she was and how she was able to have a laugh at it all. Jayde is in constant 'raising awareness' mode, which gets a bit tiresome.

Gooseysgirl · 23/10/2022 19:37

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 23/10/2022 19:29

I knew last night and I was like

"Oh Thank Fuck, The Thread will be thrilled"

Puke speech again

Same!!!! I checked the spoiler last night and was delighted I slept better knowing Jayde was out 👀 I had high hopes for her at the beginning but really was less and less impressed as the weeks went on.

InABigCountry · 23/10/2022 19:38

I think Jayde danced better in the dance off but definitely was the right decision. The judges were saying she is a brilliant performer, which I don't get?

ShakeYourFeathers · 23/10/2022 19:39

despite playing trailers earlier this evening 🤔🙄!) -

I wondered that, like were we to think that start had been filmed 30 seconds ago??? 🙄

ShakeYourFeathers · 23/10/2022 19:40

Why are they messing with the time of their flagship show?

Because Dr Who is even more of a flagship show

Emotionalsupportviper · 23/10/2022 19:42

I think both couples improved on their initial performance, but I do think Mollie and Carlos were better in the DO.

ChessieFL · 23/10/2022 19:44

Pleased with that result.

I’m glad Tony is through. He’s definitely not the best dancer, but all his dances have been entertaining and memorable. Others just haven’t stuck in my head - James for example is a better dancer but I literally cannot remember any of his dances before last night.

ArcaneWireless · 23/10/2022 19:45

She’s had it, she’s had it,
the voting went a bit awry
Against Molly, what folly
She’s going to have to say goodbye
hopes dropping, nose bopping
Her journey here on strictly now is surely stopping
She’s had it.
She’s had it tonigggggght.

ArcaneWireless · 23/10/2022 19:47

That’s her gone that’s her gone
It really was a landslide vote
Dejected, rejected
She’s gonna have to get her coat
She’s not trying, to stop crying
There ain’t no drama queening when your tears are drying
She’s leaving, She’s leaving toniiiiiiight.

ChessieFL · 23/10/2022 19:49

Fantastic Arcane!

MrsLargeEmbodied · 23/10/2022 19:49

Excellent @ArcaneWireless

iklboo · 23/10/2022 19:50

Here's this week's blog:

Trees6 · 23/10/2022 19:55

I think that Tony can improve further which is why he got my vote. I haven’t seen much improvement from Jayde over the last two weeks …. I think she reached her acme and it was time for her to go. I did like her though, she seemed serious and committed, and keenly aware that she was on an iconic show.

Molly was so gracious when she found out that she was in the DO. Lovely woman.

SolInvictus · 23/10/2022 19:58

@ArcaneWireless
You are, officially my favourite MNer ever.
Brilliant!
(I also saw the spoiler, first and last time I'll do it, but I was so angry at the judges' voting)

MrsDrDear · 23/10/2022 19:58

The judges put Jayde into the dance off by the over-marking. The public just don't like being taken the piss out of.

I liked Jayde as a person but she didn't really dance much compared to the others.

MavisChunch29 · 23/10/2022 20:04

The judges may have done it on purpose.

Sunbird24 · 23/10/2022 20:04

Hoping next week we can all go back to just voting for our favourite dances… 💃🏼🕺🏻
