Strictly 2022 Thread 2 - Who's your favourite...

Hello folks,
Last one filled up and I was surprised another hadn't been started for a while.

First thoughts:
I like this year's cohort and I recognise a few faces.

• Jayde reminds me of Dawn French. Wasn't expecting her to be paired with Karen.

• Carlos and Vito will be interesting to watch in their debut. Molly went to Sylvia Young Theatre, so she could be a ringer.

• I've seen Jowita in The Greatest Dancer and she was phenomenal. Hamza looks like he'll be good fun.

• Luba looked amazing during John Legend's performance and it's a shame that neither her celebs went very far. Maybe she's better suited to dancing in the background.

• When Helen Skelton mentioned needing someone who could understand a northern accent, I immediately guessed it was Gorka.

• Ellie and Johannes look good together. She's absolutely delighted with him, and I hope we get to watch them for a good while.

• Matt Goss seems rather subdued, but I think he'll have a good work ethic and deliver a good performance.

Oh, me too. However, I suspect I'm older than most of their parents. Also Molly's grandparents....

Kai is delicious.
I know that they will wheel out Zoe ball for Ritchie one week to be in the audience : the radio 2 crew were delighted when he was chosen back in August

Cary Grant looks so young there! He got more handsome as he got older.

My late dad had a thing about torches too. I often use one he bought me to read the gas and electricity meters under the stairs.
He used to buy them from the sunday papers magazines.
Useful for any winter blackouts too!

No idea re Neil. I assume

• his popularity with phone calls for Nina was lower than expected
• or a height issue
• or because he had to deny slagging off Gio to his ex
• or the fact that he tends to court the paps a lot with new gfs
• or a mixture

Luba has only had two official chances with one duffer, one okay and this was despite winning a charity one with a Boyzoner. Okay, neither are being treated as badly as Chloe, but even so, it feels a bit mean to bring in Vito and Carlos and two new female pros. But sex appeal is a thing now - Kev did not get onto Strictly straight away and Jowita's Michael hasn't made the cut either. Perhaps they deem Neil to be marmite or he and Luba have not lived up to choreo expectations?
