Hi all, I’ve been around on these threads for years but am a serial name changer and didn’t watch at all for the last couple of years so wasn’t around for a bit.. I started watching again a few months ago when the announcement was made but I’m never up to date so always reading posts days or even weeks after they’ve been made.. but anyway, after a big binge I’m finally caught up ready for the final 😭 Genuinely so sad about this. When Joel surprised Toadie yesterday I felt really emotional (not sure why that scene over any others has done it). Just thinking back to golden years of the house of trouser I guess 😅
But anyway, I’m signing in to chat with you guys (if you don’t mind). I don’t know anyone who watches neighbours in rl. My poor bemused husband is being dragged along to the farewell tour 😂

Loved the quiz, got 27. Got the footballer one wrong, the one about Paul hallucinating and the one about Libby’s new head, I can’t remember another actress playing her, I know I was watching back then, how did I not notice 😂 I was pretty going tbf so let’s use that excuse..

I signed up for early access and then queued (online queue not in to) when the time came, there were around 200 people before me, I couldn’t believe how popular it was! People were kicking off because on the actual release date there were no tickets left. I think they released extra dates though.
mic any didn’t get tickets and wanted them, Dr K is doing his own tour in September this year where he talks about his tone on neighbours, shows clips etc and plays a bit of music 😅 Not the same as the farewell tour ofc but might be nice if you missed out on tickets for that.

Is there anyone else here who had the lovely birthday video message from Doctor Karl? Made my year haha.

I'm in denial about Neighbours ending tomorrow. In my head, Roxy and Kyle can buy back the Rodewell's house, and Paul and Terese can live happily ever after in the penthouse. Karl and Susan will be on the street forever, and Toadie will change his mind and stay there. Boo boos etc, I'm not bothered about. Izzy can run away with Shane, who will dump her off-screen.

So gutted it's ending tomorrow, can't believe how fast that's come around.

I kind of like the idea that they're all moving away, it feels a bit better than them all carrying on on Ramsey Street with me not being able to see what's going on.

What was the point of the Rodwells? Were they already written in before the axe? Surely they could've done a hasty rewrite and had Levi buy the house from Sheila and Freya move in with him.

I’m glad they’ve remembered Mackenzie just lost her husband rather than being a weird nodding donkey in every scene. And hurrah for Therese getting rid of annoying Glen!

i won’t be able to watch todays until end of the weekend as my friend rudely chose this weekend to get married so am going to steer clear of this thread until then. See you on the other side, my fellow Neighbours-ites!

@Rummikub I think it was around the time of Finn when it started but before he took her to the shack place. I think it might have been when they all went to a cliff and she pushed him off. We imagined her becoming a ninja assassin and Paul hiring her to dispatch some foes…

Watched in 80s, early 90s then when ds was small late 90s, but only picked it up again during the pandemic.
