Totally agree. I like ES but that was totally her stirring up the drama and it made her look a bit pathetic.

It’s a shame they kept someone so firstly as Nathalia to the end. I reckon she’d have stirred stuff up a lot more than some of the others we’ve seen pass through the villa this year

Natalia would definitely have been one of the alpha girls had she gone in earlier and Paige and Ekin-Su know this which is why they are so hostile to her. All this "my man" crap from ES and Paige moaning about "can I get a break?". She's had the boys queuing up for her from the start!

Those 4 bombshells have gone in to give Deji and Danica someone to couple up with and that's it.

The other couples are gritting their teeth until the final now. You could actually see the cogs whirring in Davide's brain as he did the calculations on if he could risk flirting with Natalia. Why he felt the need to go back and tell her he was sticking with Ekin-Su for a second time I don't know. Perhaps because ES was making such a colossal fuss about it all.

Natalia has the looks and body of a supermodel and the personality of an operations manager. That's why she didn't do well. She had no flirty chat - she was very directive. She and Danica should form a management consultancy.

There was a revealing little bedtime chat among the boys about Paige. Something along the lines of Adam saying she would let her bloke do what he liked/go out whenever he liked. And I think that is her appeal - she is 'easygoing' ie makes no demands. I think Paige is very pretty and sexy but she does remind me of the 'good wife' role in 1950s films. Flirty, unthreatening, accommodating and standing by her man.

Reece non too happy that he wasn’t picked trying to conceal his emotions. What an awkward conversation too he had with Danica...

Jacques had said the same thing about Paige too. He worded it as he would be able to 'be himself' which I think is code for he could go out when he likes and be a twat with no repercussions.

Would have been more interesting if Nathalia had gone first!

I didn't watch it live so didn't vote but would really like to see dami and Luca in bottom two.

I have been disappointed there are no close girl friendships or any solidarity between the girls this year. In years before there have been some really close friendships and even when there weren’t there were still instances of the girls sticking up for each other…….like Maura sticking up for Lucie.

This year the boys have really dominated and it hasn’t improved the show. Gemma stated she was best friends with Tasha but only until Luca stated in a challenge she was best friends with Ekin. Ever since Gemma and Ekin have been joined at the hip which I find weird as before Gemma was making (well deserved!) digs about Ekin.

I searched out (by googling) a thread from last year. I reckon we've had half the number of threads in 2022 as we did at the same point in 2021.

I wonder if this reflects the waning popularity of Love Island? Or maybe the waning popularity of Mumsnet?

I'm just not enjoying this series. No real drama, no one I particularly like, every episode feels dragged out. I think it's time to call time on the whole thing.

I'm really enjoying it. It's my favourite so far. We all see things differently I suppose.

I use to really like Gemma actually she was my favourite but I now just find her so bitchy, she pretends to like ekin when she doesn’t really and bad mouths her behind her back a lot, I hope her and Luca don’t win.

I thought that about Gemma and ekin su there was the whole thing with dami predictions and ekin su stirring. Not sure when they became good mates. Wonder if tash and Gemma are less close caus of luka

I wonder if the lack of close female friendships was because this year the couples have been mainly stable from the start rather than moving around.

So they haven't had to rely on each other for consistent support/ advice as they have got it from within the relationship.

My predictions for the finals (based on Instagram followers)

Adam and Paige (he has the biggest followers)

Luca and Gemma ( big fan base)

Ekin and Davide (bookies favourite)

First one I've watched and it has been dull. I forwarded lots of the (mid this season onwards) episodes when I was catching up.

Gemma and Luca are extremely dull, and it's almost as if Gemma's been coached by someone from PR. I don't know what she sees in Luca, but the same goes for most of the couples other than Andrew.

Re. appearances. I do think Natalia (Nathalia?) is attractive, and model-like possibly because of her height, but pointless bringing her in at this point, even to stir, as eyes will be firmly in the prize at this stage.

Someone said Paige reminds them of Janine Butcher (Eastenders), and I can see that, minus the bobbling head!

I voted for Ekin and Davide as most compatible anyway. My second vote would have gone to Tash and Andrew. I'd struggle to choose after that.

I thought Reece looked a bit upset rather than angry. Natalia was very gracious in her speech I thought. Everything v predictable now. This stage no one in a couple takes a risk! Adam seems like he's playing the game, goes in, selects popular girl, sticks with her and shows how he's so much more mature since the last time he was in the show.

Nah, I think she genuinely likes Ekin-Su, she just also appreciates that she can be ridiculous sometimes! I’ve definitely had friends like that

Interesting that Danica, Indiyah and Summer seemed to be forming a nice friendship group but now that Summer’s gone we don’t really see Danica and Indiyah hanging out together

I don’t agree I really think she comes across as unpleasant.

Nathalia was only put in to complete the Adam Collard redemption arc.

Beautiful new girl comes in and old Adam would have been all over her leaving a heartbroken Paige. New Adam is fully reformed and is having non of it.

She also finally convinces Davide and Ekin to commit following some predictable jealousy and drama with a side serving of pancakes

Ekin su was threatened obviously as was Paige but her reaction seemed more ‘banter’ for drama purposes. However Natalia was definitely showing an actual nasty streak there.

From day 1 she was staring some of the girls down and making strange unnerving smiles at them.

Ekin su is putting it on “I’m Ekin Su the one and only!” whereas Natalia really does believe she’s gods gift. She took the two rejections well considering.
