Just getting ready for tomorrow.

Last night’s programme was poor I’ve been a fan for years and years but that was disappointing and flat lacked any sparkle it was dull...re Katya & Adam it’s going to be a talking point as everyone saw that’s a fact....and given her history it’s amped it up ...

Katya's dress did more dancing than Adam (also it's a wonder he could see) some those lifts were TOOO much. I've never seen the like, [folds arms, adjusts glasses and cardigan]

They're clearly not the best, and I'm not convinced it's just the judges who decide. It's usually someone doing one of the more popular dances, and I suspect the director has a big say as they want the show to end on a high.

The producer / exec producer will decide the running order. The director will only have a say if there are logistical issues to consider eg having to reposition a camera. Even then if the producer really wants a certain order, the director just has to find a way to make it work.

That's basically what I meant, I just wasn't aware of the terminology re director/producer. The point is that it's not the judges who decide.

To note from the audio clips we get, a lot of I Love You comments abound. Think it's the intensity of the activity.

I agree last nights show was lacklustre and there was some serious overmarking especially with Tilly end Sara!

The problem with Ms Ramsay's dance was her totally OTT facial expressions.

Judy's weight and her knees must decree that for her comfort and health she has to wear low heeled shoes. Blimey I'm slim and no way could I dance, or walk for that matter, in those high heels they all wear, I don't blame her. The pros have to get used to them of course.

I voted for Tom because I really like Amy. Also AJ, same logic applies!

Rewatching this morning because I missed a lot last night. I love Giovannis deaf awareness and he's even starting to sign as he talks which is lovely to see. It becomes second nature after a while.

Having re-watched the AT I agree with SoupDragon. Adam and his partner are a young couple with a baby, considering their circumstances they seem pretty solid and if it were any other professional I don't think there would be such speculation.

its just made up bullshit. watched the dance, didn't seem untoward.

That said @Samcro - my initial reaction was that he pulled his head back from going in for a kiss. The AT is a sexy dance and it could well be part of the story.

IMO, Giovanni is the best Latin dancer of the men (Aljaz is the best ballroom) and what is noticeable this series is that he's made Rose front and centre of all their routines, he's dialled back his own role to focus on her performance, and he's dancing in a way that ensures he doesn't outshine her ability level. It's great to see the pros dancing all out but the best ones learn to make the celeb the star.

As much as Judi was after the sympathy vote , I think Greg & Judi will be up tonight. Greg is the non dancer of the two , so should be the one to go.

Yes, dad dancing is exactly what it was.

He should definitely be in the dance off, imo. Although that means a repeat of that performance!

I used to do figure skating pairs with my brother, the amount of times we had to do the tango in the dance and convey that sexual tension was odd, but even when we were close and people could have speculated it definitely wasn't there 🤢😂 but it's part of the performance and no point loosing marks over it.

So I don't think there's anything between Adam and Kat. It's just performance.

I think I’m going to wipe strictly from my memories when it comes to Greg after last night‘s performance and just focus on when he was beautiful in sense and sensibility

Unfair headlines....he said it was weird having cameras on you all the time, that the long training days are gruelling cos you have to be nice for so long and it is brutal in terms of how much it takes out of you to learn the steps, you end up crying.

Poor bastard. Everyone now is going to think he has slated the show, when he has summed up his own experience.
Jerry Hall, bless her, wasn't having any of it and just took Anton out to tea. So what's bloody hard for one may be a very different experience for another. Swings, roundabouts.

He (RW) was comparing or rather, more accurately, contrasting his experience of acting with strictly. His example was despite rehearsal time first night/press night in theatre is never perfect but the next night is better etc. In Strictly, your press/first night is also the night you could lose your job - so a different mentality to adjust to. I wonder whether there is something in this as to why some sports people have done well on Strictly - if you're a cricketer the first ball you face could also be the one that gets you out, if you're a swimmer, judging your turn wrong could see you drop out of medal contention.. Perhaps if you come from an environment where you are penalised in that way, you approach Strictly with an insight into the dynamic needed?

Greg was painful to watch, don’t think Judy should be looking for sympathy....zero content either of these 2 should go tonight ...

It's hard to look at her partner as she is so amazing, I just love watching her dancing. Poetry in motion, that woman.
