Rose and Giovanni: although I like the song Raspberry Beret it would be hard for anyone to make a memorable dance routine to it, let alone a Cha Cha. Love her though, so natural and clearly enjoying learning to dance.
Tom and Amy: really enjoyed this, not sure why the judges don't seem to like Tom.
Tilly and Nikita: thought paso doble would be very challenging for a young girl with no performance background, so think she did really well. Not as good as her Charleston though, which was amazing.
Greg and Karen: who thought that a 55-year-old man dancing to the Macarena would ever be a good idea?
John and Johnannes: a bit meh - I was happy they were marked low as they seemed to be the darlings of the judges in previous weeks. Can you imagine John and Johannes having to do a cha cha to the Macarena? (or do the professional dancers get to choose the songs??)
Rhy & Nancy: not his best dance, out of his comfort zone (his routine last week was awesome, though I suspect previous hip hop dance experience).
Sara and Aljaz: thought she did well but was surprised at her getting 4 nines.
Dan and Nadiya: I was hoping this would be more of a fun routine - not great choreography, but I guess constrained by it being a cha cha cha.
Judi and Graziano: can't get over her being saved by the judges last week when Katie was much better. Also don't like the laying it on thick about the dead parents. Easy steps and minimal content again.
Adam and Katya: loved this, my favourite dance of this week, with real drama and intensity! (no comment re the almost-kiss controversy)
AJ and Kai: thought AJ was incredibly good last week, but this week she seemed a bit unsure, no wow factor.
DD and I decided to vote tactically for our favourite out of the bottom of the leader board, so 3 x votes for Rose.
