My son guessed 001 because he wasn't scanned and it never showed him actually die, both things I never noticed. I also think that maybe he didnt care if he died during the games, he knew he was going to die soon due to the tumour and just wanted to feel the joy of playing games with friends as he said on his death bed.

I think 001 didn't want to die. Otherwise he wouldn't have intentionally tried to get out of the marbles game or let gi-hun win iyswim?

001 had to lose the marbles game,and it was set up that he would never enter the bridge game.

Do you think it was assumed that he wouldn’t find a partner for marbles? That’s why they let annoying woman who turned out to be a complete badass woman just go back to the bedroom? It had already been decided that the person without a partner would go through to the next round as it was inevitably going to be old man until nice Mr 456 took pity on him?

One of the comments calls the last episode “sequel-baiting” which is a really good term for what I meant up thread.

Someone up thread mentioned something about 001 playing the games for first time this round. However, an easter egg buzz feed reveals that he is 001 in all the rounds as when the policeman is looking in the records books, it always started at player 002, not 001.

But the marbles game was really heavily aimed at him. The set was his childhood town, the game one of his favourites as a child. It was certainly geared up for him to he one of the competitors in that round.

Episode 6 was brilliant. I really sobbed. I felt disappointed with the end, it was set up for another season. My friend is a super fan and sent me a pic of them all in the first room where all the games were on the walls.

Was anyone else shouting 'get on the fucking plane' at the TV at the end?

I binged watched some episodes yesterday. I went to bed thinking about episode 6 and woke up thinking about episode 6

Now I’ve watched them all I don’t know what to think and my head is mashed

I only watched it to avoid spoilers cos it’s everywhere but I really enjoyed it, well not sure enjoyed is the right word
