I think this series has been far too long.
Going forward I'd cut out some of the stupid games, not give the islanders any vote control, leave it all down to public vote. More individual votes too, that way less popular islanders (looking at you Faye) would fuck off sooner.
Yeah I agree, if it returns next year I think they should change it up a bit, personally id:
Not get them to recouple on the first date, maybe write who they'd couple with on first impression though and then recouple after a few days of them all getting to know each other; maybe some fun games at that point and we'd get to know them outside of a couple too.
Recouple more often (seems like they haven't much this year?), and instead of casa perhaps have the chance to gamble on not recouping in exchange for a bombshell? Not sure exactly how it'd work, but it seems like there were loads of them, then bombshells came in now and then and left straight away- I'd keep them immune from being dumped for a bit.
Go by the public vote fully, with maybe one twist where they anonymously choose as individuals someone to leave, kind of like big brother nominations haha.
Back to basics with the games, instead of the weird ones where they dress up, do classics like the twitter challenge, and then more parties as well maybe with some sort of game.
Show more of the friendships, they're often more interesting than just the drama and I think this year its been a factor why people don't feel so into it, as we don't really seem to know the islanders as much as we have in previous years.
Instead of casa maybe do something else, not sure what but its all too predictable now.
Maybe have it shorter, 4 weeks or so.
