I've read loads of comments about Faye being a closet lesbian. I cant believe I didnt realise sooner. It makes so much sense now.

I don't think there are any real and genuine couples in there this year. There are some great individuals though and a few fantastic personalities. But love hasn't been found on the island this year.

I fear the love island machine has become too popular, attracting ambitious youngsters looking to become famous, they are social media savvy and far too aware of how the show works, and play up for the cameras, it just seems very superficial and empty.

They'll all split up immediately after the reunion is aired. They'll get their deals and offers, and thousands of followers on SM and make lots of £. I don't think any of them were in there for real love anyway (except maybe poor Liberty!) so they'll be ok.

The things that are never true are the ones you've read loads of comments about 😀

Jake loves Toby more than Liberty. He said all the photos of them will be going on his wall. Eeeek I thought when he said he wasnt expecting to come in here and find a best mate he was talking about Lib.

The things Jake was saying to Toby in Unseen Bits showed that he is only spectacularly inarticulate when it comes to talking to Lib. What he said to Toby was heartfelt and he was talking about future plans like putting their photo on his lounge wall.

We've never seen him talk like that to Liberty - he really has strung her along for the whole of Love Island. I hope she does really well out of being on the show.

Without Faye or Chloe the show would be so so dull. For that alone only they deserve to win. I don’t get the Faye hate either, I think she’s hilarious. Obviously deeply insecure but I don’t think she’s abusive. I’ve known women like this as friends and I can always talk them around from tantrums. They’re tiring but definitely the life of the party

Erm Fayes obsession with the other women and her love towards the new girls when they come in (esp abigail) and her inclination to push all men away. She also wanted to couple up with Georgia.

I completely disagree that Faye and Chloe are the only interesting characters in there this year. Show's been edited to show a disproportionate amount of Faye scenes but if you watch Unseen bits you'll get a much more realistic picture of all of them. And they come across as the endearing young people full of life and energy that they are, behind the fakery they have to put on to compete.

Lol just watching unseen bits from last night. Jake made so much more fuss about Toby in that clip outside more than he's made of Liberty through the whole show! To the point it got a little bit awkward and Toby went silent in the end 🤣

The poster Aquarius (either in a previous thread or earlier in this thread) said they were previously the poster Unique (can't remember the full username).

Unique always posted about Islanders being gay - it was always their theory, no matter what would be happening on screen.

I was just coming on to say this - words didn't fail Jake when he was talking about his relationship with Toby. Until that point, I was actually giving him the benefit of the doubt but ... uurgh ... he definitely wasn't as into Lib as he was into winning the series.

Ahh, I missed this. But it was pretty obvious he wasn't into Liberty. He liked her as a friend, nothing more. Can't believe the number of posters in here claiming he was just misunderstood, or unable to articulate what he felt. He brought bracelets on the show ffs - you can see what his intentions were from the get go. If he could have bagged Millie, he'd be with her. Let's be honest, his ideal girl is a leggy, size 8-10 blonde.

I never thought he was particularly into Liberty but did think he liked her enough to have a decent relationship (especially as they were having sex) and just wasn't able to express himself properly with her. However, with what was shown last night, I agree that he is fully able to articulate his feelings and he really just wasn't into Liberty at all, which is horrible really, especially as he was having sex with her and she was completely falling for her.

Last night also made me think that LI have deliberately not been showing any 'bromances' as I had no idea that Jake and Toby were such good friends at all. Seemed like Jake was going for the love couple and friendship couple - he really was playing the game from all angles (obviously copying Kem!)
