I'm confused re the "it's not all about you" comments. Jake was very very clearly joking at the time, yet she's relaying it to the others as if he said it in an angry, nasty way? OK, I get that she has the gut feeling, but why has she turned that incident into something that it wasn't

It wasn't a joke- anyone with eyes could see he actually despised her. If she was his dream girl that interaction would have been very apparent that it was him saying it lovingly and teasingly. He just looked irritated and spat his dummy out that he didn't look good in the photo

I’ve missed the last couple of episodes and don’t know whether it’s worth catching up, really lost interest but I’ll definitely watch the meeting parents and the final.

I loved the other series I’ve watched but this year really has been so dull. Pretty much everyone has stayed in their original couples then all the boring bombshells like AJ, Danny, Brett, Priya, Aaron etc that have created zero impact and added nothing.

We need proper bombshells like in the olden days- Tommy Fury, Molly-Mae, Maura, Ovie.....now those were bombshells(ok Ovie wasn't a bombshell, but you know what I mean)! Can't believe they were all in the same season!!

For me, the reason I didn't like Liam was that he literally jumped in bed with someone else the very first night. Then when he came back and Millie was so genuinely upset his face looked blank the whole time - there was no hint of emotion.

I also think jake was joking with his comment and I really don’t think he despises her. However I don’t think he wishes to be with her and that’s why he suggested going their seperate ways and never tried to fight for it. Liberty was aware enough to know he wasn’t feeling it.

I’m surprised at the comments on Liam, I could see them working on the outside, I think he does feel in love with Millie. But we’ve all been 21/22 and been in love. Real life is a test. Suspect they will move in together, and go further outside.

I disagree, I do think Jake liked Liberty as a person and a friend, he just never really fancied her that much, hence the movie night clip. That's fair enough, you can't help who you find attractive in that way and who you don't.

I not a Jake fan as I think he should have been honest with Lib weeks ago that he wasn't that isn't her. However, I also recognise that is a spectacularly inarticulate man, to the point that just can't put what's going through his head into words at all.

It's not just that he can't find quite the right words, he just can't find any words and so he gives and mumbles something that makes no sense like 'you're my girlfriend'. There are clearly things that phrases means to him that he can't explain. I find it quite sad to see actually.

I agree he is ‘spectacularly inarticulate’. However, you don’t have to be Einstein to tell a woman that she looks beautiful. My dh told me that I was beautiful when I was heavily pregnant and felt like shit. Liberty is an attractive young lady but Jake wants a bombshell of a woman who all his mates fancy. The irony is that he was seriously punching with Liberty Liberty is my favourite Islander this year

Can't you see that it was unfair for him to fake feelings for her through the entire show? He made her his girlfriend v early on, he didn't consider anyone new at Casa Amour. Because he thought if he stuck with her, he'd win.

Liberty could quite easily have found someone else who really was into her. That's what I find annoying.

Maybe Jake didn’t think she was beautiful though?
I don’t think he was ‘punching’. They are equal on the attractiveness scale.
What she does have is kindness. That’s what is most attractive about her. And that is what he lacks. He should have told her earlier and let her find someone else. But it’s a heavily manipulated and edited game show at the end of the day. It’s not real life.

This is exactly why I don’t like Liam. I think he got away with his ‘cheating’ tbh. He played Millie like a fiddle. I really don’t want them to win. I doubt that their relationship will last one month outside of the villa because he will cheat. I would rather Chloe and Toby win because at least they provided some entertainment. Tbh , this is the only season where I haven’t liked any of the men and not liked the couplings

I think Liberty is very pretty and has a great figure (tiny but curvy). I think she's better looking than Jake personally.

I don't think she'll be short of male attention when she gets home.

When he went in, his bio had him saying that his friends call him 'Mr Steal Your Girl'. Says it all...

I actually do think he liked her, I really don’t think he was being manipulative from thr start, I think that people are being really harsh. However she was always more into him and at some point he basically got the ick. I really don’t think he was just some con artist playing a game throughout. Yes he should have ended it sooner.

I also agree with the pp I think they are about the same in terms of attractiveness, she’s smarter and kinder though.

I agree with this, I also think Liam and Millie should win, I do think they are smitten with each other.

It's weird because Jake and Liberty do actually have chemistry together. They laugh and joke around and had some funny moments, I'm so confused as to why he didn't like her back when she presumably ticked all his boxes objectively

If we compare to someone like Greg O'Shea and Amber where it was actually a bit uncomfortable to watch and I had to skip forward

Jake was a good actor for the most part. Shame for poor Lib, she's so nice and deserves someone who actually loves her

Yep he's 'in love' because the others aren't his cup of tea. Once out and once he's done interviews and got his Boo Hoo contract he'll be off like greased lightning with the first blonde he comes across.

I don’t doubt that Liam likes Millie. However, I don’t think he will be faithful .
In the Casa Amor he was able to compartmentalise his feelings for Millie . This is what cheating men do. They may say that they love their wives, but think it is ok to shag other women because ‘it is just sex’
