Kaz clearly did get very upset on the terrace (I’m behind) for everyone saying she was being weird or fake for not crying. I think she was trying to hold it together for her best friend. Their friendship is the best thing of this series.

Yes Kaz did sound emotional in what she was saying and it sounded like she was full of tears (she even commented on her voice breaking) but when she pulled back her eyes were dry.

I think Kaz needs to be viewed through her words and deeds rather than whether she can squeeze out a few tears for the camera. Some people will criticise her, whatever she does.

I still rather like Liberty, there's something very appealing about her and I don't mean just looks-wise. But bloody hell she doesn't half go on! All that gumph about her journey and learning to love herself and that's the most important thing, she's rehearsed that for sure.

I hope Faye was crying over feeling guilty that she had a huge hand in engineering that split.

None of them are enjoying it any more are they? Toby looks like a lost and bewildered soul without his mates. It's just a slog to the end.

I think that the ONLY genuine relationship in the villa is the friendship between Kaz and Libby.
I don’t get the impression that Kaz is into performative tears like some of the others

Yes Liberty was going on a bit, but I don’t think it was rehearsed. Just remember that Liberty is only twenty one and doesn’t appear to be very worldly.Therefore, when she is trying to be strong and courageous she tends to revert to cliches such as ‘finding myself’ and the much maligned phrase ‘ been on a journey’. Even seasoned professional celebrities on programmes such as Strictly revert to these cliches at times.

I thought Liberty's speech probably echoed what the show's counsellor had said to her In her debrief. I think they were bribed with going on the date prior to leaving.

Teddy and Faye's kisses started off so good. They were the only ones that actually looked sexy. But I've also noticed the weird arch away thing she now does.

I think so @vjg13, I said that to DH last night. It’s a good situation to have had access to a counsellor in though and has perhaps helped her to find strength and self-respect in a way that would have been harder on the outside if she didn’t have a counsellor to talk things through with.

It does however, mean that the producers could also use the counsellor to further manipulate contestants and their decisions. I’d like to think that no counsellor/psychologist would get on board with that, because of their own ethics, but then where big amounts of money are concerned a lot of people, in life in general, are prepared to throw ethics aside..

Just went to rewatch the 1st episode on player here and there's an into that must have been added. Shows a few reinacting their jobs and ripping clothes off to reveal their swim suits. Chloe is in it. Jake drowns himself with a hose

I wish I could go on a journey and come out the other end in love with myself

Apparently liberty's mum posted on her Instagram that she was headed to Majorca a few days ago for the parent's episode so at least her mum will have been there for her as soon as she left

She and Liberty are best friends so she will have known about the announcement. The others' tears will mainly be a mixture of shock and from knowing they had a big hand in this break up, so guilt as it's partly their fault she's going.

Yes, DS and I rewinded that intro so many times because it's hilarious! He hates LI but the intro was comedy gold so I dragged him over to watch

It’s because I thought that your post had negative connotations in that I thought that you were implying that Liberty was being fake. Whereas vjg’s post appeared to be more sympathetic in that it suggested that Liberty was simply echoing what she was told by counsellors who were there to help her which is why her words appeared to be ‘rehearsed’

Liberty came across as very likeable from start to finish on LI.

Liberty and Jake reminded me of a boyfriend I had, wouldn't dump me but didn't particularly act like he liked me very much. I knew in my gut it wasn't right but I still stayed as I loved him. Some of the things like the "you're messiness is giving me the ick" can be explained by him as banter and maybe in another relationship it would be, but you can feel inside when you know it's not affectionate ribbing. That kitchen top encounter was so awkward and telling, the coldness from him, and with the photo taking. Ugh it made me shudder bringing back memories!
