Continuation of the Faye-related fractious fun!

OP posts:

@Bouledeneige

I don't think Chloe likes Faye really
No I don't think so either, but she is clever enough to keep on the right side of the school bully.

I just wish one of them would have been brave enough to say 'actually Faye we voted for you because we know your going to abuse Teddy"

Steakandcheeseplease · 18/08/2021 07:55

@Puffalicious

I don't really like Kaz (since Matt-gate) but she impressed me with her retorts to Aaron (jumped up little shite).

Talents were shockingly bad- especially the football from 2, actual footballers!

But they were really good at the shoulder shimmy by the pool Grin
Noteshook · 18/08/2021 07:58

@babbez

My problem with Faye is the entitlement

Nobody is allowed to vote for her despite her issues but the new people have to be the scapegoat every time? She's not paying rent and she's not entitled to a place in the villa just for being an original!

The stand up was so cringe, like it wasn't even funny digs, it's just uncomfortable for all involved

She was just copying Olivia attwood (badly) who hosted the 2017 one and did a roast. But hers was lighthearted still, she was sort of savage but it wasn't as personal, and didn't target couples relationships and bring up horrible stuff.
Monsteraobliqua · 18/08/2021 07:59

Aaron needed to wind his neck in and Kaz handled that beautifully.

I absolutely do not agree with Faye being a hypocrite and poisoning the atmosphere by wondering why people would vote them when she has had a huge ugly screaming row with Teddy, and listed practical reasons she is not sure they are compatible. However, she has been in there with them for weeks now and I can see why she might feel the way she did, even if not express it so aggressively.

Aaron and Mary have been in there 5 mins, why on earth should Kaz or anyone else have necessarily picked them as one of the most compatible? What would they have to go on compared to the more established couples? Plus Kaz was right, Priya and Brett weren't a personality match in the end but they had loads in common. I really don't like Aaron.

Faye seems to be rubbing off on Teddy, or maybe he has an arsey streak too- 'you don't know my lifestyle'- no, it's a few weeks on a game show. They know what you've told them compared to what everyone else has told them. FFS!!

Seems like they were missing the point. 'Compatible' doesn't necessarily mean 'works in real life'.

Chloe was shit stirring, think she's had enough of Faye but is nervous to confront her directly.

ChequerBoard · 18/08/2021 08:23

Faye will unfortunately get work and will before a famous rent-a-gob a la the odious Katie Hopkins.

Monsteraobliqua · 18/08/2021 08:24

chequerboard yes! I think she'll be on Loose Women as a 'straight talker'.

CarpyDiem · 18/08/2021 08:35

@icelollycraving

I think Faye will get work. I can see her on some shit like Loose Women.
No, different target audience and her range is far too limited
MamaRaisingBoys · 18/08/2021 08:37

@Boshmama I’m with you

HmmmmmmInteresting · 18/08/2021 08:42

@ComeonJulia

Kaz was embarrassing last night. Liberty is such a mug and so boring it’s untrue. Jake the snake is vile, such a slimy little prick I can’t stand him. The smirking said it all.

Still loving Faye & Teddy. Quite like Aaron & Mary too.
Liam looking at Millie playing the keyboard was so nice, you can tell he’s in love with her.

Hi Faye! Do the producers know you're using your phone to interact with the outside world?
vjg13 · 18/08/2021 08:52

I voted Chloe and Toby but do agree that Chloe likes to stir things up.

Altogether321 · 18/08/2021 08:56

Well my opinion of everyone changed last night!

I think Jake/Liberty and kaz/Tyler handled it really well and they have gone right up in my estimations.

Chloe was a shit stirrer and there was no need - I think she doesn't like Faye but doesn't have the balls to confront her and that's why she shit stirred. I still like Toby.

Millie - why they hell did she apologise to Faye. They need to let rip and tell
Faye exactly what they think!

Faye/teddy - I can't stand them. Used to like teddy but he needs to stand up to date too. Faye and the stand up comedy was just cringy. She is trying to hard to be like olivia Atwood!

I voted Jake/Liberty as my fave.

Altogether321 · 18/08/2021 08:58

@LordOfTheThings

I find Teddy so weak now and that's really put me off him. He can see how Faye behaves and has been on the receiving end of it so should not be enabling her any more. It's like he's got Stockholm syndrome.

Exactly this. She is manipulating him

Altogether321 · 18/08/2021 09:01

@QueenBee52

Faye

I think Faye needs help when she gets home to the UK. I cannot see anyone wishing to give her a contract. Domestic Abuse Charities will be screaming from the rafters about her behaviour..

And rightly so

SofaSpuds · 18/08/2021 09:15

@ChequerBoard

Yes, definitely this! Now that Katie Hopkins has gone quiet (or been silenced?) there's a gap for a rent-a-gob (perfect phrase!)
HmmmmmmInteresting · 18/08/2021 09:24

I didn't get to vote in time Confused

Duggeehugs82 · 18/08/2021 09:25

It does concern me that people out there including on this post say they like faye and dont find her behaviour bad at all. And if she was to work in tv what message does that send to young people? Where is the responsibility of her actions. Her being a bully is seen as drama and entertainment and celebrated by the producers as good tv ,

Duggeehugs82 · 18/08/2021 09:27

It really does make me cringe that i watch this and wonder what does that make me, by watching am i condoning? I have to fast forward her on screen just annoys me

Duggeehugs82 · 18/08/2021 09:29

My friend actually said she plans this to be last season she watches as she is just done with bullying behaviour as entertainment and think its time to move on i think i at same point , i know it will make no difference overall

Newpuppymummy · 18/08/2021 09:36

I honestly think Faye thinks she is being real and honest. I don’t think people challenge her on her behaviour as they are scared of her. She has hinted her family behave like this too. Not an excuse but maybe a reason

Bouledeneige · 18/08/2021 10:22

Faye has very little self awareness. Who is possibly going to tell her the truth when she's a shouting bully? And if people had told Teddy the truth they would have told him she's toxic and to run for the hills.

But Teddy was also so disappointing. He went along with the idea that people voted for friends or tactically and thinking that everyone has to explain their reasons for voting. No one owed anyone an explanation. And they shouldn't have been bullied and confronted by the likes of Freddy and Maaron,

Anon778833 · 18/08/2021 10:33

But the difference between Anna and Faye is that Faye is likely to blow up over pretty much anything that she perceives as a slight on her and she's very opinionated where Anna tended to just be aggressive. I don't remember her getting nearly as much air time as Faye has.

Anon778833 · 18/08/2021 10:35

Yes, unfortunately Katie Hopkins was also who ran through my mind 😬

Unfortunately, there is a market for people that just spew nastiness about others. Some people find it 'entertaining' and some find it ok and like people like Faye. Strange standards but it takes all sorts and hopefully she will come out and perhaps watch and have a little self awareness moment, although, I personally doubt it.

I have watched every season of LI, but this will definitely be the last . This is the first season where I really don’t give a stuff who wins.
TellingBone · 18/08/2021 10:42

At this late stage Teddy seems to have decided to cling on to the life raft in the faintest of hopes of a win rather than speak out and deal with the split.
