Semi Detached was the Lee Mack comedy (which we loved), he was also recently in the Mitchell and Webb comedy Back. He basically plays the same person in all of them!, love him. DDs have also taken to calling the dogs back by shouting ‘Bitches! Bitches!’ (Only in the garden though)

I know some were disappointed in this episode but I loved it

I hope they do a bit more outdoors (or better lit!) later on in the series. Everybody was in the dark!

I rewatched the new episode this afternoon as I always manage to miss bits of dialogue. Some reviews said it was a bit too manic but I think that portrays the chaos that Alison has to endure. I'd have loved the neighbour to have become a ghost. The banter between him and Julian would be ace!

I love all the little facial expressions, especially Alison and lovely Pat.

I'm still very much in love with the Captain.

I rewatched it again today too so that I could catch more of the nuanced bits. Humphrey clearly a Good Chap if a bit cowardly at times.

I did think on first watch it felt a bit manic, somehow even though we know they were social distancing the spaces seemed fuller of people! Anyway, it’s great to see it again.

I thought Mary was a bit more belligerent than usual and is that the first time she’s actually confirmed in words what happened to her? Love the neighbour turning up so early in the series.

I think it’s a fair point that the ghosts would have discussed all their deaths before now but I guess that’s the poetic licence they need in order to make a show.

There was a bit of awkwardness due to the Covid measures but I've got used to that in TV programmes now. I'm just glad they're making them.

I think its very different and not in a good way. It doesn't have the charm or subtle ness of the UK version.

How can they call it a "CBS Original"? It's not original, it's an exact remake 😂

I think it needs to be less "subtle and charming" to appeal to the US market though. As a generalisation, their programmes always have more "action"

I don't know whether it's just that I don't know American accents as well as I do British, but they all sound a bit camp to me!

Always fascinating to see a remake. The office did well across the pond but the IT crowd did not. The Quebecois version of Brooklyn 99 looked horrible. House of cards worked well until Kevin turned out to be a predator. Never saw the Shameless remake and refused to watch the Utopia remake.
I eyerolled when I heard Ghosts was being remade but that trailer isn't that bad and I like two of the cast. There's enough there that I'd be interested in watching it to compare the two.
