Our Girl Thread 61 "Our Girl, Soldier Soldier and The Musketeers Revisited"

We started to follow "Our Girl" back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of "Soldier Soldier" to keep up our military terminology and have almost finished the first series of "The Musketeers". Of course, there is a definite connection between "Our Girl" and "The Musketeers" in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We will start on series 2 very soon.

Sorry I wasn't with you last night ladies. Hectic time for us at the moment. In a nice way I am happy to say. My grandson got married at the weekend after being delayed and changed etc several times due to lockdowns. So lots of family catch-ups since. Calming down a bit now but it has of course been lovely to be able to see family members in the flesh once more.

I shall now watch "Emilie" while following all your comments. Hope to be "on parade" as eejit puts it on whatever date you decide. Hope you get that holiday ilove.

Magi have you recovered from your weekend yet?

A friend of mine is a wedding celebrant for a local authority and said the last week has been the busiest she's ever known. Apparently the days leading up to the August bank holiday are always busy but this has been off the scale she said.

eejit you have the casting vote. Are we doing Tue 14th or Wed 15th when we reconvene?

Yes Ilove pretty much recovered. Thoroughly enjoyed it all. Lovely setting Notley Abbey in Haddenham, Hertfordshire. Also got the impression that the wedding celebrant was having a very busy time. Bank Holiday it seems is chosen a lot in normal times but things had certainly ramped up mightily this year!

Have made a note that we are Muskateering again on the 14th.

I'm joined by my two cats tonight, hope they are well behaved and don't try to sabotage the evening! One of them is cross because he sat in my chair when I was away and seems to think it's his now.

I did have a nice holiday thank you, though it was a long drive back and not helped by some idiot on the M40 who decided to reverse back up the slip road just as I was joining it. Eeeeek!
