makes a change from the Radfords
i bet they are fuming they are not on here

FizzyPink · 13/05/2021 21:16

Yes I was thinking they all seem hugely different to the Radfords although at least 10 less kids. The Sullivan’s house looked very educational, lots of learning style posters up on the walls etc. I really liked that the kids all had their own basket of products in the bathroom.
And seriously impressed the second family can feed 11 children on £100 a week.

Why are they buying total school uniform every time? Don’t they pass anything down?

the80sweregreat · 13/05/2021 21:20

So many children! I couldn't cope with two . I'm a lightweight clearly

ProcrastinationIsMySuperPower · 13/05/2021 21:24

I thought that, so wasteful!
CheaperByTheHalfDozen · 13/05/2021 21:24

I thought my 6 was impressive, but I'm literally exhausted by the thought of twice as many or more.

FizzyPink · 13/05/2021 21:24

I’m always curious watching these programmes why they had all the children. Do they just really love children? Or like the idea of a big family?
I admit, I’m not naturally maternal so it baffles me

My parents were both one of five. That seemed a lot to me !

CheaperByTheHalfDozen · 13/05/2021 21:27

In my case I used to be religious.

Pregnancy and labour was relatively straightforward, and I loved tiny babies. I was pretty good at the first 3 years or so.

Now that I have a house full of teens, however, I recognise that I was a bit shortsighted...

the80sweregreat · 13/05/2021 21:29

Teen years are a challenge! Even worse these days too

whatsthestory123 · 13/05/2021 21:30

running a pub is 24/7 lunacy but i think he is a bit of a dreamer
i can imagine him getting involved in get rich schemes etc

FizzyPink · 13/05/2021 21:32

I can’t believe they bought that with zero pub experience! Surely getting a normal job would have been an easier and quicker way of paying the bills

People go on about the 'terrible twos' but at least you get kisses from them after! Teens are the worst Grin
whatsthestory123 · 13/05/2021 21:35

they have no idea eg the pub they wont spend any time with the kidsor each other

if its not a disaster i will be gobsmacked

cushioncovers · 13/05/2021 21:36

Started watching when they were interviewing the couple who bought a pub. He seems a dreamer who can't settle.

the80sweregreat · 13/05/2021 21:38

Pubs are hard work ! Plus covid has hit him by as well no doubt ?

Was it teenagers that stopped you being religious?? Wink

I'm going to have to watch as how the fuck do you feed 11 for £100?

whatsthestory123 · 13/05/2021 21:43

C3

DungeonKeeper · 13/05/2021 21:44

He could try selling one of his many cars if he’s worried about money. Hmm

I agree, he hasn't got a clue. He mentioned he has as many (or more) cars than children - perhaps he ought to sell some of those cars.

I'm impressed by how laid back all the parents are - I think it takes a certain personality type to cope with such big families. I don't think it's a great choice, to have huge families, but credit to the parents involved for taking it all in their stride.

CheaperByTheHalfDozen · 13/05/2021 21:47

@Ducksurprise now you mention it...Smile

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 13/05/2021 21:48

Teenagers are punishment for the sins of your own adolescence, so make you believe there's a god - just not a benign one Wink
