Raph bossed it but if I had to wear any one of those it would have been Adeena’s.

Agree that Farie went Villanelle. I couldn’t wear it - you’d have to be slim - but I loved the concept.

Didn't agree with garment otw.

And Damien is like a limpet.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 05/05/2021 23:27

I've had a look online and could replicate Esme's necklace for about £12.
It's the kind of shit you see in trendy shops for ££. I hope she made it herself.

Raph's top was lovely. Not a fan of the trousers but looked great.

Liked serena's pants.

That lace dress was shocking but WTF was Damian thinking. Hideous 1980's style dress of the worst colours (It was green to me too. A gross sludgey khaki colour)

Also agree with the comments about Patrick and his suits. The lowest point was the pale blue and brown combo last season but now he just looks sloppy, like they don't fit properly. The jackets always look too big and the style is so old fashioned.

Bouledeneige · 06/05/2021 00:27

I preferred Raph's (looked fit for a catwalk), Serena's and Adeena's outfits to the garment of the week. Raph's and Serena's were very stylish and chic.

Just love Esme. I think she's my favourite woman on TV.

She did.

Esme's necklace

@Maireas

I wasn't keen on garment of the week, and I'm not sure it was particularly Kahlo, but am glad for Farie and it was obviously well made.
I felt that Safe should have got it - his outfit screamed Frida Kahlo.

I really loved Farie's but other than the striking bow had nothing Kahlo-ish about it.

This challenge saw some amazing outfits - and also Damien's which was dreadful! I thought Catherine's was better than his, though not by much. She seemed very pragmatic about leaving - relieved, almost - I wonder if she'd been feeling the strain? Might even have asked to go?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 06/05/2021 10:28

*Rafe, not Safe - behave yourself autocarrot! Angry

Just love Esme. I think she's my favourite woman on TV.

She's fab, isn't she!

Roussette · 06/05/2021 10:39

Rafe's outfit was really good, yes. But I suppose at this stage they can give others a chance because he keeps winning !

I like that Faerie has had a little boost.

SoupDragon · 06/05/2021 10:44

I think Catherine messed up the other challenges more than Damien which is why she went.

I think Farie's dress fitted the painting she talked about. I liked that some of them based it on paintings rather than on fashion style.

SoupDragon · 06/05/2021 10:45

I imagine there were some fraught discussions about GOTW (and possibly a deciding fist fight that Esme won)

MoonCatcher · 06/05/2021 12:12

Faries was inspired by FK, the woman, her serious disability, and her painting so definitely fit the brief, and more imaginitively than the reworkings of Mexican costume.

Roussette · 06/05/2021 12:21

I did like Faerie's description of the dress in relation to Frida's life

iklboo · 06/05/2021 12:29

NutellaEllaElla · 06/05/2021 12:51

How gutted would you be if you did that Grin

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 06/05/2021 12:53

I know some who might do that deliberately not me

yesbutnobut · 06/05/2021 13:33

Re Patrick's suits, I went to a talk about sustainability in the fashion industry that he spoke at. He said he hasn't bought new clothes for X years (can't remember how many but it was a lot!) as he has inherited so many. So that probably explains why some of his suits look a bit shiny/ill fitting on him. Got to applaud his moral stance I guess!

Binglebong · 06/05/2021 14:43

I'd applaud it more if he altered it to fit.

Maireas · 06/05/2021 16:58

Indeed. His look wasn't great last night and not a good advert for tailoring.
sweatervest · 06/05/2021 18:09

i went to the wharf this week where it was filmed. i was only a year late. but the security guard there said that esme was his favourite and apparently she loved him too and said that she was gutted when filming finished as she'd never see him again
the wharf is lovely and i had no idea it existed. all very pop up and niche and content and artisan and en pointe and other such stuff i know absolutely nothing about

also he said that p-dog was a bit aloof
but that joe was extremely nice too. i still don't find joe funny or anything like that but i still like damien

MoonCatcher · 06/05/2021 19:28

P-dog?

iklboo · 06/05/2021 19:32

I presume p-dog is Patrick.

Great if he kept his dad's/grandad's suits and shirts (explains why they look 100 years old) but agree with Binglebong, why on earth wouldn't he alter them? It's his bloody day job!
