I'm not loving any of the contestants at all,
Billy is ok, I feel sorry for him with the Gemma assassin task, he has no idea what's going on.
I need to know where the hot pink candle lanterns are from that are next to the hot tub though!!

@name99 i recognise most of the decor from Dunelm.

I love the metallic/bright animal print throw in Dorothys flat. It's not Dunelm or IKEA. Has anyone seen it anywhere?

Think I now prefer Tally to Manrika, although they're both too shouty and trying to be all Geezer Gal cool. Manrika is so annoying when she she struts and points. And while she might be proud of her Dad, the Q was about them individually. And I think Tally has overcome a lot with her ADHD, dyslexia etc.

I like Billy, Andy and Vithun but don't think they are pushy enough to get through. They're too ordinary and nice. Andy probably is the better game player.

Gemma/Hunter - hmmm. I don't mind him, he was put in the position to "assassinate" Billy and don't think he would have outwardly lied otherwise. (Who is taking those dogs for a walk??)

Syed - he makes me laugh. Playing quite a good game. His crush on Manrika is amusing especially when he has to remind himself he's an older man!

Newbies - Both are boring at the moment. The girl playing Felix is clever, she might win it.

Discussing tonights blocking with DH I pointed out that no one except the fake "Dorothy" and " Uncle" characters will remember Gladiators from the 90's and therefore won't have heard of Hunter either. In fact, no one is over 30!

It hasn't sat well with me watching the Gemma/Billy storyline. Any more of this sort of thing and I'll stop watching.

@marchXX I stopped watching a few episodes ago, but enjoy following this thread. Far too much shrieking, it's not healthy lol!

It's a shame this series is so weak.
I didnt think covid would affect the cast that much.
It's also quite fake/ scripted I feel.
Maybe I'll never get over big brother ending.

Really disappointed by that blocking. Gemma played dirty by lying. Really hoping Gemma is next to go.

Don’t get that decision at all. Does Andy have no balls? If he had suspicions about Gemma why didn’t he discuss them with Manrika. I agree @unique1986, it’s too scripted / directed.

I feel that the catfishes and constant tasks aren't helping the series. Obviously there's a conveyor belt normally but there's so many catfishes and so far the OG players have had the assassin to contend with, blue and orange tally off the top of my head, combined with the catfishes tryna find each other there's no connection. Too many are trying to do their own little tasks IMO.

Also feel that the question highlighting what they're most proud of showed that the casting has sought out a particular type of person or to revoke a sad response.Last year you had the single mother and the guy who won that had crutches and the girl who had the bag for her issues ( I forget it's name). I know this is gonna sound callous but everyone this year has some story that has sadness attached to it where there's a sad response, where last year I felt all their challenges were championed. Only the one on crutches had some sadness but still was spun positively I'm just not getting that this year.

I've never seen it before this series so I've nothing to compare it to, I'm quite enjoying it.
However, it was so hard to watch the whole gemma/ billy game - and now I'm really devastated that billy is blocked

It’s not a classic series. I loved last year with Tim and Woody and the others. This one does not are such interesting characters imo. Not as good an age mix maybe?

Generally watch the next day but saw Billy was blocked after typing that message. Surely Gemma has to go now. Hunter seems a bit scummy anyway.

That was awkward. The best bit of this series if when two people finally meet.
But last series meet ups were lots better.

Bah humbug. Be interesting to see what happens to Andy now. He was my front runner to win, as he had everyone's ear. He may have lost that now, or some at least.

Gemma won't last long now, though if they were smart they'd keep them and get rid of stronger players.

Hunter was headhunted I'm guessing.

Felix/ Natalya 100% my new favourite but unfortunately new players never make it far in the circle so I imagine he’ll be one of the next to go.

I feel a bit weird about this Gemma/Billy thing... I’m not sure why.

I’ve just seen the US series 2 is on Netflix from mid April, they’re releasing it four episodes at a time, every Wednesday, with the final on 5th May. I hope they’ve meddled with that series less!

I just don’t love any of the people in this one. I can’t decide if it’s the editing - they seem to refer to a lot of conversations that we don’t see? - or if it’s the BB style games...

I’m still watching though, just the next day, so I guess they’re still winning!

But Paddy won last year and he wasn’t an original. So Felix / Natalya might do alright....
I liked her ‘integrity’ point.
Dot / Scott - does my head in, however.

Hashu crushing on Manrika is adorable! I hope he’s kicked out before Manrika though because it’ll be devastating if we have to sit and watch him wait for her only to realise she’s gone to see Tally!
