Best series on Walter presents?

Recommendations if you please.....not too gory. Want something really gripping to take me over the next few weeks please.

Do like a crime/thriller type or political.

The Bridge and Spiral are the best IMO, both on IPlayer just now. The Twelve, The Other Mother, Adulterer, Thicker than Water and Locked Up ( this one esp) are all worth a watch through Walter Presents. There’s also Rita, Money Heist and La Mante that are available on Netflix, all really good. Hth

Not 100% sure if it's still on there but there was an enjoyable Norwegian series called Eyewitness (Øyevitne) about two teenage boys who secretly witness a murder in a deserted quarry. Some nice twists in there.

Nordic Murders (confusingly, this is German)

There was a Russian one that wasn't great, but I liked the different setting.

And several others I can't remember! In general I enjoy the Nordic ones but haven't been impressed by the French ones.

Stockholm requiem

The latest '....by the Lake' I think it is called Panic by the Lake is brilliant. Watched it before Christmas.

Actually its 'Fear by the Lake' and it was mentioned upthread. Really recommend it.

Locked up as mention by Castlecould is good. We watched all of them over about a week.

The Adulterer is great. Manon, Greyzone Same Sky and Acquitted also good.

Didn't so much enjoy:
Bad Banks - horrible characters
an Israeli one about honey farmers - silly and a Corsican mafia one whose name I've forgotten. A bit bleak, that latter one.

I thought The Same Sky was really good. Like you I’m disappointed there isn’t a second series.

Ride Upon The Storm = totally best series there.

Currently watching 'All the sins' and really enjoying it.

Bad Banks is good. 2 series, quite short, fair rattles along. I also liked the Adulterer, Black Widow, Thicker Than Water, Detective Cain (Vincent from Spiral), Nordic Murders and currently watching Monsters.

Another vote for Ride Upon the Storm, definitely the best show.

I also really liked The Mafia Only Kills in Summer, about a family living in Palermo during the seventies.

The actor that played August in Ride upon the storm has popped up as a baddie in a new dark Danish Drama, Deliver Us. Think its WP too. Watched the first one, good but really bleak!

I've watched the first 4 episodes of Deliver us and it is absolutely brilliant, definitely one of the best shows I've seen in a while.
But it is very bleak and dark, I don't think I've wanted someone to be murdered so badly in a long time.

caterpillar I felt the same after just one episode! maybe I'll persevere though...
