She was manipulated into that by the woman with the long blonde hair (sorry I am useless with names) who has some sort of history with Eric.

Just watched it. I enjoyed it but would have liked some redemption in the characters. A little optimism among all the awfulness.

Harper is hard as nails yet keeps crying when things go wrong. Yasmin seems to have good instincts but the need to humiliate others sexually is horrible. Robert seems decent but I want to tell him to get away from Yasmin as there’s toxicity there. I didn’t really understand why Daria turned on him. The Gus character didn’t really go anywhere and he had literally one expression as a pp has said.

I found the sex scenes unduly explicit. Is that the Lena Dunham effect ?

I had hoped that there would be some insight into trading - the rules/plays etc. I came away absolutely none the wiser. The grass seemed to be thrown into the deep end - Harper definitely seems like a capable swimmer although the fake degree paperwork may come to bite her on the ass.

Well me and DH got to the end finally last night, mainly to see what would happen. I found it all so cliched, there wasn't a redeeming character in it and the sex was, quite frankly, gratuitous. I thought they might have brought out the characters more, or explored the situation with Harper's brother disappearing but no, it was one long session of toxicity, manipulation, drugtaking and sex. Lazy writing.

I did like Yasmin having a pop at Harper at the end though. I'm hoping the fake paperwork comes back to bite her.

I work in the City and I’m glad to say it’s completely over the top, particularly around how the trading works. A grad would never be allowed to trade, never mind solo without any checks. The industry is so heavily regulated that you can’t fart without approval. The grads recruited are the cream of the crop and incredibly intelligent, absolutely more work hard than party hard!

Just finished this, the main character Harper is so unlikeable and selfish I really do not understand how she got the job she made more fuck ups then any of them and her behaviour was so un professional.
Agree way too many pointless sex and drug scenes which add nothing to the actual story.
I liked Yasmin but not her behaviour towards her boyfriend and Rob
