CV's baby at 11 weeks. well, she is a big baby.

'i don't really care what they say' says CV of the WHO.

Properly damaging, yes, I think so, MD. If you can see it, I would, if I was you. Just so that you can complain about it, all eloquent-like.

AitchTwoOh · 03/10/2007 23:19

wow contimuum concep toddlers are making their lunch using kitchen knives cutting cucumber. theory is that they'll know how to do it cos they've been watching mum cook. dd would LOVE a knife. the other mentors are freaking out. apparently you shouldn't do it unless the baby has been brought up in the method but tbh i think dd would be fine. ish.

I have seen people on another website who started giving baby rice as early as 7 weeks, which I thought was a bit mad. I don't think any baby can eat enough at that age for a person to think hmm think they need solids (coming from a person whose ds used to feed hourly).
I'm not surprised at CV advocating early weaning, I'm just amazed ch4 are allowed to screen this bollocks without some kind of health warning tbh.

It's amazing that anyone would volunteer for this shite. Nobody is confident with their pfb but surely anyone with half a brain would see that CV is more wrong than a wrong thing gone wrong.

I'm not even gonna watch the next prog it makes me hyperventilate, and I'm a crappy mother!!

eggontoast · 03/10/2007 23:21

sorry to just but in but I have not said I hate someone for a very long time. I hate CV. I can believe she exists, just stinks of how totally selfish some people are. Sorry again, my blood has been boiling for days now.

AitchTwoOh · 03/10/2007 23:21

lol at 'and i'm a crappy mother'. a. i'm sure you're not and b. you'll feel shit hot if you watch it.

I do feel better watching the CV families, i.e at least I'm not that bloody stupid

tori32 · 03/10/2007 23:38

I was weaned at 10 wks and brother at 6 wks (on weetabix) Neither of us has had any serious illness or kidney problems
And I am here to tell the tale

AitchTwoOh · 03/10/2007 23:39

gotta say, the CV babies are the fattest, i wonder if they would have been anyway or if it's because they were getting double rations of milk stuck down them at night?
cop-out ending. 'all you can do is chose the one that's best for you'. er, or you could just do what you want and not follow anyone...

MeltingandScreamingIcarus · 03/10/2007 23:40

Oh well Tori23 that settles it then. It must be fine.

hunkermunker · 03/10/2007 23:40

Tori, it DOES affect some babies though, and seriously. And since there's no way to tell which babies it will affect, surely better to err on the side of caution? It's only a very short time to wait in the grand scheme of things.

AitchTwoOh · 03/10/2007 23:40

i was weaned at a fortnight and i have a newly-discovered kidney problem and IBS.
my stupid anecdotal evidence cancels out your stupid anecdotal evidence, now let us return to the Medical Evidence.

OP posts:
MeltingandScreamingIcarus · 03/10/2007 23:41

They are probably the fattest because feeding was the only time they were held so they would feed for as long as possible.

hunkermunker · 03/10/2007 23:41

at the ending, Aitch. FFS, if they're going to put babies through all that at least condemn Cruella! FFS!

Was "sleeping through" the benchmark for the method that worked "best", btw?

AitchTwoOh · 03/10/2007 23:43

kinda. but not really... i think it will hit home to other wankery parents and they'll go for it.
Mia's mum was proud that her kid was on solids before the others... so THICK!

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 03/10/2007 23:44

Fattest because they were forced to feed lots of milk as well.

Did you see the bit where she said that it was easier to ffeed on her routines because you could be sure you were getting the milk down their necks?

Because that's what parenting's about, isn't it? Cocking hell. No chance the baby's ever going to be able to regulate their own appetite on CV's routines.

AitchTwoOh · 03/10/2007 23:45

well it's not like the baby's in charge, is it?

MeltingandScreamingIcarus · 03/10/2007 23:45

I thought about that too Hunker. Poor little future obese disconnected needy adults. What a way to raise your children.

hunkermunker · 03/10/2007 23:46

Oh, no, mustn't let them be boss.

AitchTwoOh · 03/10/2007 23:47

it's really noticeable, actually, particularly the twins look like they've been swapped. can you imagine having that Mia's mum woman mind your children? she's an idiot. that wee girl is the prettiest thing, though.

OP posts:
havalina · 03/10/2007 23:48

Hope so mad bint

MeltingandScreamingIcarus · 03/10/2007 23:48
AitchTwoOh · 03/10/2007 23:50

LOL. you've made that a very real image in my mind... or was it already an episode of Ally McBeal?

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/10/2007 23:51
