I used to like so many of them - The Flumps, Fingerbobs, Barbapapa, Mr Men, Mr Ben and Bod

So what was yours?

hmb, did you know someone called Stephen Andrew Rowlands who you thought might have been a friend of Casey's, or was that just out of your own head? I used to watch it but don't remember having the faintest idea of what was going on.

Tingha and Tucker - anyone remember them? Auntie Jean? Anyone who saw it would never forget their seminal performance of the Moses story, starring Willy Wombat as Moses and Wendy Wombat (the same puppet as Willy but wearing a blonde wig) as Miriam

I think MN should do a survey on all of this!! Brings make some memories - I also used the like the Flashing Blade. Robinson Crusoe was also foreign (& a bit of a dish if I remember correctly !)

Tales of the Riverbank with Hammy Hamster & Mary, Mungo & Midge were good.

Never knew a Stephen Adrew anything, I was just rather dim! I was an adult when I worked out my mistake

tamum · 14/10/2004 19:43

I was just as bad hmb, don't worry

I think there was an earlier discussion about Robinson Crusoe on here, wasn't there? I found a website where you could listen to that evocative music....

Excellent !

Oh the Barbapapa's I loved them and have spent ages trying to remember the correct name (annoying DH who can't remember anything!) Great for doodling in school jotters!

Best theme tune was Jamie and The Magic Torch.

I loved Ivor The Engine, the Clangers, Red Hand Gang, the original Moomins.

What was that one on ITV, on at lunchtime where there was a dinosaur dancing at the end of it? Promise it was real!

There was also Heidi, my absolute favourite, a dubbed German version from the late 60s/early 70s and I have been trying to find it on DVD or video but had no sucess not even in Germany!
