Where does sue Radford get her money?

Watched some of their videos tonight. I remember their TV show.

I have one daughter and one son. I like to get a small range of next clothes for them because they wash well. So I am familiar with what they sell.

I noticed on one of the newest videos two of her youngest are rocking £24 next dresses.

Then 3 of her youngest are wearing £20 unicorn dresses In another. If she can have 22 kids. Not work. Not claim benefits. I would love to know how she can afford to kit them out in such expensive clothes.

They also just ripped out all the garden. Got artificial grass and a brand new play park. Was it a year agoish they got a new kitchen and dining room?

She gets a brand new pram for every child. She spends a fortune on them on their birthdays. They also get more holidays than an average family with two kids.

I notice the new baby has the fancy chair that moves to rock the baby. She has the best of everything!!!

I unfollowed her because she was giving an address out on her comments. It is get husband's pie shop. She doesn't want people to know where she lives but she wants the freebies they want to send her. The public send her children gifts and clothes etc. I mean that's up to them but there are children with nothing and they are accepting freebies when their kids are kitted out in next outfits and have hundreds spent on them for birthdays etc.

I don't get it? They've become materialistic and greedy?

I think most of the larger items (kitchens, holidays etc) are given to them as a sponsorship deal by companies. They get a lot of publicity!

babychange12 · 17/05/2020 07:55

She's an 'influencer' so I guess lots of companies send her freebies. Won't be surprised that next send her freebies too

KatherineJaneway · 17/05/2020 07:56

She'll be getting lots of freebies.

Buzzybee23 · 17/05/2020 07:56

She never confesses to them being free. But I suppose that could be it. She seems to have a never ending pot of money. I wonder how much these people get paid to try get the public to copy!

Oh here we go again.

I’m no particular fan of the Radfords, but boy do they get pulled apart on MN.

It seems there is a bakery, and tax credits, and child benefit, and some kind of media monetisation of the whole family, including some particularly tedious SM these days.

That’s it. Approve or disapprove, but it doesn’t really justify thread after thread.

ArriettyJones · 17/05/2020 07:59

Copy what? Twenty children? Who wants us all to have twenty children?! Confused

Tin foil hat time 👀?

zipzap02 · 17/05/2020 07:59

Wow it's really none of your business either way!

Gingerkittykat · 17/05/2020 08:00

Noel owns a magic pie shop which supplies them with told riches, not to mention a small fortune in tax credits.

In the earlier series of the shows it was very different and they talked about strictly budgeting, shopping in Primark for clothes and they had strict rules about what the kids got for Christmas. I think a lot is of what they have now is freebies and they also make money from social media.

Buzzybee23 · 17/05/2020 08:06

Yes they have definitely started making money.

No copying them by spending money not by having 22 kids!

Lol why's it my business? Because they share it with the public. So they make it other people's business. If they don't want people to discuss them, they can always turn off the camera!

Agree with pp

lotusbell · 17/05/2020 08:09

Haven't you more or less answered your own question?
but there are children with nothing and they are accepting freebies when their kids are kitted out in next outfits and have hundreds spent on them for birthdays etc.

Is it both or are the Next clothes the freebies?
They won't be the first or last to accept freebies for promotion.

Buzzybee23 · 17/05/2020 08:12

Obviously not allowed to have a conversation on here without being told off.

All these influencers trying to promote stuff to people who make a fuss out of them is weird! Time the craze ended!

JudyCoolibar · 17/05/2020 08:13

Wow it's really none of your business either way!

They've chosen to make it everyone's business.

KatherineJaneway · 17/05/2020 08:21

She never confesses to them being free.

Most celebrities, influencers etc never do. Would make them look bad. A lot of what celebrities get is free so they will wear / drive / use it and others will rush out and buy it.

ArriettyJones · 17/05/2020 08:22

How? By appearing on telly? I don’t see The Kardashians opening their household accounts to public scrutiny.

Lots of vapid “influencers” get far more lavish and frivolous freebies, or cash, than the Radfords possibly do,

I just can’t get excited about children being decently but modestly dressed in £24 dresses from Next of all places. It’s hardly luxury living.

BillBaileysBum · 17/05/2020 08:25

Articles, TV show, endorsements, the magic bakery.

imsooverthisdrama · 17/05/2020 08:27

I had to google her .
Anyway don't most ' celebrities' get sent free stuff for endorsements?. It's the same thing .
Kerry Katona often says she's skint but gets sent free stuff .
Yeah it's not fair I want free stuff but if you don't like her unfollow the woman who keeps having kids .

SimonJT · 17/05/2020 08:30

I imagine they get sent free stuff, I even get sent free stuff for being in a low league but well known rugby team.

They will also be rinsing tax credits.

User24689 · 17/05/2020 08:33

I'm not sure that they have to declare when things are given to them free. Just if they are actually advertising them. So yeah I imagine loads of stuff is gifted to them so people will say 'ooh I like her dress' and then she will say 'thanks, it's from next' etc. It's free advertising for the companies.

smartiecake · 17/05/2020 08:35

The 2 holidays i saw them on/promoting it was very clearly explained the family had been 'gifted' them. The same with the new kitchen and white goods. I guess they have a lot of Instagram followers and are seen as influencers as you say. There are lots of people making a living this way, like all thr cleaning gurus. Personally i don't need to follow an influencer to tell me how to live my life, spend money and clean but it's certainly big business.

lynsey91 · 17/05/2020 08:45

Where do you get that they don't claim benefits? They obviously get child benefit and have done for around 30 years now. Also I think they get tax credits. At one time they said they did and they probably still do

ClassicCola · 17/05/2020 08:52

They put themselves in the public eye so people will comment and ask questions. They make their lives everyone's business.

notalwaysalondoner · 17/05/2020 09:00

Don’t underestimate how much they will make from YouTube and instagram etc too - I have a family member who has about 150,000 followers on YouTube and makes about $1500 a month from the video adverts alone - the radfords have more than this, plus a bakery for their main income.

A lot of the items will be freebies.

Crosswordocelot · 17/05/2020 09:04

I'm confused about this because I really cant see how a salary of 50-60k from the pie shop (if they claim cb) can be enough to provide for food, bills, mortgage, clothes, school uniform, prams, iPhones, xboxes for that many, and all the extras, however carefully they budget.
So assumed they must be paid by the tv company, and get freebies from product placing on youtube or insta.
However I saw once she posted an enormous pile of Clark's boxes for a "back to school" post and someone asked if they were gifted and Sue was v defensive and said no.

supercee · 17/05/2020 09:12

Urgh awful, awful woman. You're not allowed to criticise them/her on MN though so this thread will probably be pulled.

As for their money, freebies galore, govt benefits and their goldmine bakery.
