I’m not sure how many on MN watched the first series of Save Me in 2017 on Sky One but it was brilliant. Just seen that the second series starts on 1st April. It’s well worth watching and the whole series should be available straight off. Great acting, riveting plot and was just amazing.

Finished series 2. Loved it, even more than series 1. Nelly is addicted to putting things right, can’t let anyone down, and ends up failing everyone. The characters are utterly compelling and believable. So many more stories for Lennie James to tell... I hope.

"The characters are utterly compelling and believable."

I agree that the characters are good.

I found Nelly to be a nasty bully & not very likeable at all.

So many women-how??!!

diddl I wondered that as well. How did Luke and the other guy (Gav?) manage to find out Nelly had a daughter, get in touch with her and persuade her to come to London to meet him? I loved both series but this always bugged me.

YippeeKayakOtherBuckets · 23/04/2020 07:26

They do explain that. There were several lock ins, in particular one with the landlady’s dad there, where Nelly went on and on about having a little girl, he would have mentioned her mum (who used to be a regular/local).

The two lads were computer experts and it wouldn’t have taken much digging to find out who the mum was and where they were now.

MissCharleyP · 23/04/2020 12:08

Ah, thanks! I must not have paid attention there.
