Is anyone else planning to watch this six part series? I vaguely remembered the killings and on seeing this advertised have now lost hours to reading up about it online and have also downloaded a book about the case. I’m really looking forward to this one!

I thought it was a good length - they were able to go into lots of detail which I found very interesting, as it was a real life case.

It did not drag at all for me, and I looked forward to each episode every eek.

I found the dramatisation slow at first but as it went on i found the pace worked well to allow the horror and seriousness of the whole story to really sink in. I think we're used to fast paced tv all of the time and the decision to take this at a slower pace might have felt unfamiliar but was very effective.

I also thought Freddie Fox was an inspired choice to play Bamber. Such a great mixture of superficially charming and repellant.

I just watched The Crimes That Shook Britain episode on this (here if anyone wants to watch: which defends JB, and found to my surprise that one of my old neighbours was interviewed extensively for the programme. I didn't know he'd any connection with the case at all!

The cast was amazing with the exception of the bad Tom Jones impersonator,

That documentary is interesting Damn. The police made such a hash of the crime scene.

Jane yes they really did. I was just reading the other thread about Michael Barrymore and the unsolved murder at his pool. Essex Police (also responsible for the White House Farm mess up) decided at that crime scene that it was an accident, and allowed, amongst other things, Barrymore's PA to come back to the house and remove evidence!

Oh yes, I watched the Barrymore documentary. I didn't realise it was the same police force. The other people at that party have to know what went on. There was only eight people there.

While watching the Barrymore documentary I thought to myself that Essex Police have obviously learned nothing. 😦

Bringing up an old thread as I've just watched this. I have one question, why was the father found with his pants down? This was never addessed and its bugging me!
