Anyone else watch this? Brought me to tears a couple of times. Awful what that poor man went through.

RiverTam women are equally capable of abuse.

This goes back to my first point.

What this woman did was horrific. Take out the violence. It was still horrific and physically damamaging. But people only talk about the worst physical cases of abuse.

Until we are confident that ALL abuse victims (abuse of all types) feel comfortable coming forward, we will never know how many men are abused by female partners or male partners.

That's the focus.

Right, yes, I'm with you now. I certainly agree that we need to look at all kinds of abuse - however, if you start to include emotional and financial abuse, for example, my own gut feeling is that men would still be the main perpetrators. But I'll admit to that being a gut feeling only.

My gut feeling is the opposite.

However, why don't we view emotional abuse as bad a physical?

I know this is an old thread. But I have just watched the documentary, and I think both Jordan and Alex might be neurodivergent. This doesn't justify her behaviour, but it might shed light on why the situation played out as it did. I really hope that both of them are in a better place now.
