Been watching for 10 mins and it's already great - this first family though... the woman doesn't so much have a cleaning problem... if she asked us lot we would tell her she had a DH Problem

I am now preparing to binge this today! Have you seen consumed? I think it's similar - all about decluttering, facing
problems within the family etc.

PawneeParksDept · 01/01/2019 15:25

I love hoarder type/cleaning programmes they haven't made a good one in a while

Going to indulge myself watching this when everyone else is elsewhere so I don't have sarky comments.

Cagliostro · 01/01/2019 15:31

Ooh now I’m even more glad I signed up for Netflix :o

PawneeParksDept · 01/01/2019 15:31

Second couple is also clearly a DH problem 😂

Thanks for this just added it to my watch list

CatsForLife · 01/01/2019 15:56

Great thank you

OrdinaryGirl · 01/01/2019 16:40

Thank you OP! Added to watch list.

ArtisanPopcorn · 01/01/2019 16:42

It just frustrated me that they all have so much space and it's still cluttered! Oh to have a playroom and office and garage! Jealous.

Lunaballoon · 01/01/2019 16:48

I watched five minutes of it then got bored. I’ll admit her clothes folding technique has transformed my drawers, but a whole programme of tidying, ‘sparking joy’ and whatnot does not make good TV.

abbsisspartacus · 01/01/2019 18:44

Found you all! I'm going to watch this later when my restless legs quit jumping about I found the first few minutes interesting she looks so tiny!

PawneeParksDept · 01/01/2019 18:51

She is TINY! Her waist!

Cagliostro · 01/01/2019 18:57

Halfway through the first one and thinking it’s really not that messy Blush

redexpat · 01/01/2019 19:02

Yeah really not that messy or cluttered.

abbsisspartacus · 01/01/2019 20:59

They have loads it's just they have a huge house it's deceptive

mizu · 01/01/2019 22:09

I flicked through her book while house sitting last summer and liked it. Now fold/roll tops to go in drawers Grin
But watching this today, I'm not surprised people have so much stuff if they have so much space!!!
We've always lived in quite small spaces and so its impossible to have lots of stuff, I am always decluttering.

CantstandmLMs · 01/01/2019 22:17

I've just started this. What a perfect show for New Year's Day 😂

Marie is so cute!

littlecloudling · 02/01/2019 14:46

First couple- house looks quite small but really not that untidy. Eg 3 bed bungalow. Not too scary. In fact a bit daunting that they were picked because my house is far worse! Lovely couple.

PawneeParksDept · 02/01/2019 21:07

Whoever mentioned Consumed, I'd never heard of it so thanks for giving me yet another binge!!

NoMoreMissusNiceGuy · 02/01/2019 23:03

Bingewatched the whole series today! (Housesitting for a friend so I was a captive audience ) .... came home and now have a chest of drawers with perfectly folded contents and a bin bag of stuff for the clothes-bank!

I read her book when if first came out so my drawer contents were folded BUT recently have succumbed to "too much stuff, just ram it in" and were no longer prettily organised.
Wardrobe tomorrow Grin

mydogisthebest · 03/01/2019 10:48

I am watching it now but just don't get it. Joy from clothes! I don't get joy from any of my clothes so should I throw them all away?

Also thanking every item of clothing as you get rid of it! Just plain silly. I would not bother nor would I bother with all that folding.

DarlingNikita · 03/01/2019 12:35

TBF the empty-nesters said they had 'three generations' of stuff in the house; they inherited it from the husband's parents I think.

I love that they found that amazing collection of Japanese dolls.

mydogisthebest, 'I don't get joy from any of my clothes so should I throw them all away?' Yes. Grin I think the point is, if someone said 'Right, I'm throwing this away' and you shrugged and said 'OK' rather than 'Nooooo!', you should throw it.
