Just googling the gorgeous Susan Calman and apparently there's been a bit of a row saying as she's gay she should be allowed to dance with a woman. She's fine with dancing with a man though.
Just wondered how people felt though? Same sex couples, a good idea or just a bit try hard?

It's hard to make a living as a professional dancer so many of them supplement their income by teaching. In order to teach you need to know both roles (usually described as leader/follower). Of course they will naturally favour their own role as that is where they are strongest, but they wouldn't be able to do a show like Strictly if they didn't know the opposite role well enough to teach it to their celeb.

I'm training to take Latin American teaching qualifications, I have to demonstrate my dancing in both roles and be able to answer questions from the examiner pertaining to either role.

Susan has categorically stated that she wants to dance with a male partner, that should be the end of the discussion as far as her part in the show is concerned.

It's a dance show, not a sex show!
Not about fancying your partner, it's about dancing with them!
Leave it as is.

I definitely think It's a dance show, not a sex show! should be the new slogan Grin (And yes, I entirely agree).
