Riviera - what do we all think? Spoilers welcome

I've binge-watched the whole series Blush
Bit of a guilty pleasure.
I really enjoyed the gloss and glamour of how a gazillionaire's lifestyle at the Riviera might look like Grin

The plot?
Quite interesting, but I am a bit frustrated by the usual cliffhanging ending.
I wish TV makers could wrap things up.

I thought it was quite dreadful tbh and I usually love crap telly.

I was also fixating on JS's hair, it was so awful! She's meant to be a multi millionaire and her hair looked awful, wrong colour and in need of a good wash/cut. Confused

Yes, JS's hair was a bit grungy, but Lena Olin's at the gala I really liked.

Clearly, it the whole Riviera thing was my kinda crap although I see its failings Grin

Just watched the end. I like crap tv but this was nonsense.
Every time the ex wife was in shot dh would say here comes posh spice. Grin

yes her hair!!! I found it watchable fluff, with a silly ending, but I kept yelling at the TV - a Billionaires wife would brush her hair occasionally!!

I am laughing at myself that in spite of all its crapness I know I will get sucked in to season 2... I should really consider getting a life!

I've got two episodes left to go and I'm really enjoying it. I like Julia Stiles and Adrian Lester as actors and can't wait to find a spare couple of hours to finish it.

I don't understand why she killed Adam? Yeah he was a bit of a dick, but I'm not sure he really deserved that end?!

Watched the last episode last night and I thought it wrapped it up really well. There are still a few threads that a second series can build on but no cliffhanger to speak of.

I also felt sorry for Adam he didn't set out to cause his father harm and fell for the wrong girl. He was besotted by Georgina and she knew that.

Agree! I don't think he deserved that horrible end at all.

But then, I have had a bit of a crush on Iwan Rheon since Misfits anyway so I'm probably biased Grin

Re Adam - through his actions her husband and her best friend ended up dead, oh and he tried rape her too. Pretty good grounds for dumping him into the ocean I'd say!

Have you seen him in GOT.

He didn't intentionally set his DF to be killed and her best friend was in the wrong place at the wrong time. As for him forcing himself I agree on that but killing him was abit much. Can't wait to see what his mother has to say when she finds out

Yes, I'm a huge GoT fan! He was amazing as Ramsey.

Adam was a dick and made some very bad choices, but the multiple stomach stabbing was a bit too much.

Compared to his character Ramsey Adam
was a saint. He's an amazing actor.

Well I made it to the end - it was utterly improbable but okayish & her JS's outfits improved. Won't be greatly fussed if I miss s2.

Thank you to the poster who mentioned Kate Moss. Had never noticed before and now can't stop seeing it 😀

Haven't seen GoT but I was a bit put off by Adam's remarkable similarity to Gavin from Gavin and Stacey. I kept expecting Pam or Smithy to turn up!

That ending was crap. Adam was a dick but he didn't deserve to get stabbed. He didn't mean for most of that to happen, he was a coward and he did assault her. But constantine and robert's deaths weren't deliberately his fault.

Also would she really be that vengeful? Did she have no feelings for any of the rest of the family?

I loved it except I couldn't get used to seeing Ramsey Bolton being all posh in a suit!

Clearly it wasn't high quality BAFTA stuff but it was watchable and fun.

He was utterly chilling as Ramsay Bolton and I really quite liked him as Adam.
I too did not think that he deserved to die in Riviera (whereas in GoT is bloody well did!) and I think that Georgie has now irretrievably crossed a line that she cannot uncross ever again.

pacific yes he is a fine actor. Stole the show in Game of Thrones and only partly cos I really fancied him
