Yes odd about Lauren she's her only friend apart from sudden unrest in Stacey sort of ex nearly sister in law. No other friends there at all? considering she been on square a good 7-10y not much of a show.

I want to know what money was spent on, car was suprise so can't have booked. Food just cheap party bits from pub, and old decorations not even a new wedding banner. The dress she recycled.... can't cost that much!

Why is Kathy working on the stall. Martin can't be that busy that he needs an assistant surely? She was working in the restaurant up to the theft presumably replacing Jane but Steven has now replaced Jane. I love how they can suddenly find work for an extra person when Jay or Billy can go months without work. I suppose she is faaaamily. That is another thing that bothers me but I'm unsure how it works. Ian owns the stall but can he 'sublet' it and have others full time on it. Surely the stall licence holder should actually put in a few hours at some point or forfeit the licence. Martin just works on it as when he was trying to get the deposit for Pat's old house, he had to tell Ian about the deal he did with Mick.

A fairly disappointing wedding for EastEnders. I did have a moment when I thought Whit's hair extensions would trail in the candles and she would run screaming from the bedroom, catching Linda's net curtains alight before the duff duff but no, just Lee with a silent tear.

Did no one notice Lee had a face like a wet weekend all day? Surely someone would have asked him what was wrong or cheer up mate, it's your wedding day.

I've watched E. E since day one and can't remember a period when it's been as dull as it is now. Even in the wedding episode last night the writers couldn't help including a scene about the ongoing bin story.

Aunt Babe may trip on the rubbish bags and end up head first in a bin. It'll be weeks before Lady Di sniffs her out and Mick is alerted to her slippered feet poking out from the mountain of rubbish.
The Carters successfully sue the council thanks to Sausage's in depth legal knowledge and use some of the compensation to erect a Babe monument in the square.

Why have we heard no more about the financial irregularities at Ian's restaurant or was I not paying attention and missed vital scenes ?

I am shocked to my core that the writers have written a storyline in which a character is reading a book (a first for EE) and is being sneered at and told how boring she has become for reading it.

What kind of a message is this giving out, especially to young people?

Leigh, agree, its good to see someone enjoying literature! Trouble is, its being seen as boring instead of people encouraging her,in a positive way.

I hated Jay stealing again. I hope the guy who put the money in the well pulls lee up on not thanking them and jay is found out, and then helped out of his dilemma! I like Jay, but he needs to be helped, or he will be out of work again! 😰

I think the way they're doing Lee is quite good actually. I had depression when I got married. I spent the whole day faking a smile when people were looking but I've got a photo someone took of me where I look utterly miserable. His general ongoing demeanour sums up how I was a lot of the time too. Yes, it's boring - depression can be!
