Most unconvincing group of EE hardmen ever. Grant will eat them up for dinner single handed Grin

MrsJayy · 05/09/2016 20:58

Any body else shout at the telly just phone the police ffs. What a hooha

southeastdweller · 05/09/2016 21:00

In real life, Patrick is 76 so he's old enough to be the father of Ellen Thomas (Claudette) Shock

MrsJayy · 05/09/2016 21:02

Vincent is at least 40 she can't have had him at 12

EnidButton · 05/09/2016 21:11

I don't think Claudette is 52 but the actress playing her (Ellen Thomas) is.

EnidButton · 05/09/2016 21:12

South Grin Sorry just realised you put her name in your post.

MrsJayy · 05/09/2016 22:16

Ah OK

MagpieCursedTea · 05/09/2016 22:38

I really don't understand the no police thing. I get that Mitchells don't call the old bill etc but you'd think if your son's life was in danger, you might make an exception?
Also, why was Mark even there?

iknowimcoming · 05/09/2016 22:46

MrsJayy - I shouted several times! By the time you've phoned Grant, got Sharon and Ronnie, told someone to call Ritchie, got jack to phone one of his ex-mates etc etc Ben and Jay could have been dead and buried had they been in the hands of proper criminals, fortunately for them, the most scary thing about those blokes is their parking Hmm

On the plus side with tonight's episode, I was so relieved Denise told kush straight away the baby isn't his as was I was dreading that dragging out for months

celeste83 · 05/09/2016 22:46

From the trailer it looks like Mark will be joining Grant. How old is he meant to be again?

MrsJayy · 05/09/2016 22:48

I know just phone the police PHONE THEM stupid programme. and I think Ben might miss pauls funeral Sad unless they do Ross Kemp chases van for an hour,

SoupDragon · 05/09/2016 22:52

The most inept and unlikely looking bunch of homophobic, murdering kidnappers ever!

SoupDragon · 05/09/2016 22:53

Mark is 20.

MrsJayy · 05/09/2016 22:56

They looked like the baduns you get in school videos not very scary looking

EnidButton · 06/09/2016 00:08

How slow were the Mitchelks at getting their shit together? Grin Either call the police or get on with it.

Good episode though, first I've really enjoyed in a couple of weeks.

Lol at Mark standing up and being taller than Grant.

MrsJ Yes! That's exactly what the looked like!

AGnu · 06/09/2016 00:29

I shouted at the tv multiple times too. The highlight of the episode for me was Donna suggesting they use a glass to listen through the thin door that was still a crack open! If they'd all shut up for a second they'd have realised the doors weren't remotely soundproof.

I was thinking tonight how young Claudette looked next to Patrick. I'd always assumed they were supposed to be approximately peers but looking at them canoodling made the age difference more noticeable.

BallerinaBecky · 06/09/2016 00:53

Its a good thing the kidnappers are as slow as the Mitchells and sat around in their van having a little chat with one another while the Mitchells made house visits, insulted a few people, walked around the square, had a few arguments, made tea and keeled over.

I'd imagine the van would go straight to a remote area of woodland if it wasn't EE?

So father and son (Grant and Mark) will bond while trying to beat up four men!!!

Did Michelle hate Grant for anything specific or was it just a typical EE (I hate you/I hate you too thing)?

I love the pregnancy storyline with Denise. I really wanted the baby to be Kushs though.

Vincent's character really confuses me. At times, like tonight, he was lovely as he is with Pearl, but when he first appeared, he was handing a gun to Ronnie, visiting her in hospital, sleeping with her, - was that when he was working with the police/being a 'grass'?

Then there was the Mitchell payback storyline, burying his mum under concrete etc.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 06/09/2016 00:55

lol at Taken! DP really enjoyed tonight's episode.

SoupDragon · 06/09/2016 07:56

So father and son (Grant and Mark) will bond while trying to beat up four men!!!

The perfect Mitchell faaaaamily reunion.

iknowimcoming · 06/09/2016 08:14

I also thought, as was suggested upthread, that somehow Donna is going to try and adopt Denise's baby, too obvious that they all found out when Donna was there too

Jasonandyawegunorts · 06/09/2016 08:31
Shock

They gave Grant a full episode!!!

iknowimcoming · 06/09/2016 08:31

Also doesn't Claudette have some huge isshoo with the Mitchell's so that'll make for a good storyline when she finds out her adopted grandchild is a Mitchell

Jasonandyawegunorts · 06/09/2016 08:43

Claudette has probably forgotten the Mitchell thing, Just like she's forgotten Patrick 'killed' her a few month ago.

Optimist1 · 06/09/2016 08:43

Grant's acting range seems to run from looking menacing to flexing his biceps with not much inbetween!

LineyReborn · 06/09/2016 08:53

I'd honestly have to Google it to remember what Claudette now seems to have forgotten.

Loving Grant though Smile
