I thought when Belinda came to stay Stacey asked Lily if she'd mind sharing with "Auntie Belinda". I remember it because Belinda is Lily's cousin, once removed, not her aunt. I was constantly confused growing up in a little village where most kids called their parents' friends auntie/uncle. It still bugs me sufficiently for me to notice these things in a soap!

As far as layout goes, I thought it was bathroom at the top of the stairs, Lily's bedroom next to it, round to the right is Kyle's room, followed by the kitchen/living room & then Stacey's room on the third wall/over the external front door. That would probably leave Kyle's room with no window though... Let's not open that can of worms again! Wink

EnidButton · 05/09/2016 03:22

How on earth did they fit a bathroom under the stairs at Ian's? Confused Unless it's just a loo and sink but then how would Jane shower? Their builder must've been amazin.

SoupDragon · 05/09/2016 07:19

I think it's a wet room and I think it might be possible (just about) without utilising Narnia Principles of Infinite Space. The wheelchair makes it both easier from a head height point of view and more difficult from a floor space one!

Jasonandyawegunorts · 05/09/2016 07:40

It is a wet room, So the shower IS the room....

They plumbed it all in over the course of less than a week.

I did say on the last thread the knowing ian it's a spray bottle and a bucket.
Let's not question how they get water pipes and drainage to it, presumably they now have pipes going through the kitchen wall.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 05/09/2016 07:42

Or did they take the floor up and put the pipes underneath in the space of a couple of days?

HSMMaCM · 05/09/2016 07:50

I thought they did the wet room under the stairs back when they did the loft extension? But I might be wrong.

SoupDragon · 05/09/2016 07:57

To be fair, the pipes may well go up to the bathroom from there anyway and the existing drains could well be there too.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 05/09/2016 08:00

Fair Point.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/09/2016 10:10

Considering Pauline's house was originally a 2up/down - the understairs cupboard must be tiny!!!

Now way could get a wet room in there. Lucky to even be able to stand up in it. Let alone get shower and toilet in there

SoupDragon · 05/09/2016 10:24

I think there is room actually. There is a fair depth to it looking at the wall between stairs and living room door so, as a wet room, you'd have the toilet at the shallow end right under the stairs, shower on one of the high walls. It might not just be in the cupboard but would have needed to be extended right up to the living room door.

Not sure how you'd fit a wheelchair in and allow it to turn round though, or fit a carer in if Jane needs one to shower! As an ordinary wet room it's doable. For a wheelchair, not so much. Unless a wheelchair can turnaround in what looks like a front-door-width hallway.

LineyReborn · 05/09/2016 12:10

I'm still recovering from the potato baby revelation.

EnidButton · 05/09/2016 13:02

Our student house at uni was a huge Victorian terrace with a loo under the stairs. The space under there was tiny. No way could it be a wet room. Ian's house is smaller than that so under the stairs won't be any bigger.

Got to be a bucket or portal to Narnia. Maybe she pops into Mr Tumnus's for a quick shower and is back before anyone notices.

celeste83 · 05/09/2016 16:06

Loving the floor plans and chat about room arrangements. What about the Mitchells? I'm confused of the bedroom arrangements there. Is it a 4 bed house?

SoupDragon · 05/09/2016 16:12

The Mitchell's must be a 4 bed. Phil & Sharon, Ben, Louise and the room
Peggy had.

SoupDragon · 05/09/2016 16:14

Who lives next door to the Beales? Perhaps they've knocked through into their under stairs realm.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 05/09/2016 16:26

That house is empty - it's where Evva used to live and Christian and Syed (flats)

NuggetofPurestGreen · 05/09/2016 16:27

I looked that up - I'm not that good at remembering!

SoupDragon · 05/09/2016 16:53

Clearly we need a up to date floor plan of the whole square.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/09/2016 18:11

Bloody hell. Claudette bosum has wandered into another tv show

She's nana in mount pleasant - just watching now and her MB magnificent bosum made me reliese who she was 😂😂😂

OP posts:
EnidButton · 05/09/2016 19:22

Just googled and the actress playing Claudette is only 52! No wonder she and her MB looks so incredible. Isn't the character in her 60s at least?

ifipop · 05/09/2016 20:06

Eastenders does Taken!!!!

celeste83 · 05/09/2016 20:08

Haha totally stolen from Taken. Those two guys don't exactly look hard though.

Hels20 · 05/09/2016 20:42

Really? Claudette is 52?

Thought the whole thing with Denise was well done. She is totally right not to tell Kim if she doesn't want the whole Square knowing.

Love having Grant back.
