Jo Konta through for the women.

Lots of missing names from the top players- but we are edging towards the US open- without Federer- and who knows, maybe even without Djokovic.

Could we be heading for all change at the top?

Creme it's deuce, Rafa having had match point. It's incredibly tense. If he loses now, I will cry.

what a fantastic match. I am so glad I watched it all. It was brilliant. I wish Grigor had been playing someone else, that was one of the matches of his career.

He's in a GS final. After so many wrote him off. Over and over again.

I'm sure there will be a lot of nay sayers who will claim it's because Djok or Murray are out. They clearly won't have watched any of the matches though.

Sorry Creme I was too engrossed to update you. Amazing stuff. And luckily puppy fell asleep during last set so I could concentrate!

Grigor is only, what, 25 or something? Plenty of time left for him. It was an incredible match.

Hearts- there is time. and he is definitely playing so much better, and with a lot more confidence than he has done for ages. He dropped out of the top 20 last year, and seemed to be losing his way.

I need to go shopping now. I'm knackered just watching that.

I love epic semi finals though. They are sometimes better than the final.

I wish I could've seen the match, but I've enjoyed following it with you lovely lot. I'll have to hog the TV for the highlights later.

Can't wait for the final. Roger & Rafa have some recovering to do, both coming through five set matches. Hope the final is a quality match, it'll be like old times

The main thing for me is a good match though. I'll be ecstatic if Roger wins and gets GS18, but I'll also be pleased for Rafa. Tennis has really missed these two.

Didn't get to see a single shot but yay yay and yay! So happy for Rafa, and I even wanted fed to win yesterday (not on Sunday though )
So nice to see some different styles and players these last couple of weeks.

Wow! I had to drag myself to bed before the end but suspect DH stayed up for it all. Weather is lovely in Melbourne this weekend, high 20s in the day and cool at night, so they won't be playing the final in a scorcher.

saffron that's good. Too many people collapsing for my liking.

Dh and I went to see 'La La Land' tonight. After the stress of this morning, I needed lots of coffee to stay awake . It was good, great cinematography, bit lacking in plot, but the old musicals are still the best.

Creme up to now, I'm not sure they are showing it. It would have been different if Murray was playing, which really annoys me. But it is what it is, sadly. Clearly, the Beeb are only interested in( or can only spend the money on) showing tennis if we have British players in it. Or think all their viewers are only interested in that. Maybe it's true.(I don't think it is ). It's never been true for me, probably because when I was growing up, there were hardly any British players worth supporting, and nationality didn't come into it, really.
