New series on E4

Who's watching? Looks interesting

Yeah, let's face it - the whole thing is Swiss cheese & does not stand up to any scrutiny. I'm just pindering whether there's enough man-totty to keep me watching. Grin

I've given up I'm afraid it's just too silly and unrealistic for me. But I'm disappointed thought it was going to be good Sad

tutorwho · 08/08/2016 21:32

I got very upset at the certain key death scene :(

JedRambosteen · 10/08/2016 22:56

Oh for God's sake! I'm watching tonight's episode on catch up. When Jake realises the poorly cop is about to shoot himself why doesn't he put his visor down? You know, bloodsplatter/aerosol etc...

Izzabellasasperella · 11/08/2016 08:05

Yes but that would mean he cared more about himself than sick cop and Jake has to be seen as a good guy the same as his boss even if it means they do really stupid things😀

MrsJoeyMaynard · 11/08/2016 09:29

It's still stupid. What use is Jake going to be to anyone else inside the cordon if he gets infected because he'd rather expose himself to bloodsplatter / aerosol etc than use a visor when faced with someone who's distressed and sick?

Housemum · 11/08/2016 18:56

I thought exactly the same - if I saw my buddy with certain death symptoms I'd say I wish I could put my arms around you (or whatever bloke equivalent) but my visor would go down pretty damn fast! Particularly when it was obvious there was going to be blood splatter potential.

And conveniently they said before how the virus didn't survive long outside the body, so Jake could hold the teddy bear.

By the way, did I see that he was putting each jar of ashes on a piece of paper with the name? Wouldn't you use a sticky label or a bit of sellotape? Actually put the name ON the jar for when you hopefully get out and need to move them?
Are the glaringly shoehorned in detective tactics of Miss Marple the teacher now saying that the hospital were top secret researchers who let the virus go but have found a convenient immigrant scapegoat?

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/08/2016 22:52

Getting a bit silly boe

JedRambosteen · 17/08/2016 23:50

Inside-cop chucked a memory stick to Lex tonight in the container sluice meet-up & he handled it without gloves. Duh! Infection control people!

JedRambosteen · 17/08/2016 23:51

Also that Thomas kid who is still well - surely there's a risk he's an asymptomatic carrier? I bet he'll infect a whole load of people.

MrsJoeyMaynard · 27/08/2016 00:35

Just finished catching up on episodes aired so far, and it's definitely getting a bit silly.

You're under siege from drug crazed loons, who've already murdered one of your pals, you've had to go downstairs to turn the electric back on and seen the hostiles rushing in on CCTV, so - when you spot a satellite phone on the way back upstairs, you decide to stop and call your boyfriend right there in the stairwell. Instead of grabbing it, continuing the dash upstairs to relative safety, and then calling. Hmm

Also, I know nothing much about computer labs, but is it normal for them to have stacks of flammable gases lying around?

Kitsandkids · 21/09/2016 23:11

Anybody still watching? I just cried and cried and cried at the death scene. I knew it was coming from the beginning of the series, as I watched the original Cordon, but I was hoping they would change it. So, so, so sad.

Yes. I agree. There seems to be another thread running on this! Just posted on there too.
