Thinking about it, one of the reasons Scully likes medicine is presumably because it's fairly clear cut, someone comes in with a problem and you help them with it. The more experimental trearment shows a yearning for the unexplained...

I think her point was that it's ultimately her call. But presumably doctors don't normally do an experimental treatment against the advice of their peers!

I think she's just tired. She's reached that point she talks about in Never Again when she says stop.

Why do the baddies have to be Russian? I'm also a bit about them depicting a gay couple and someone who's trans in this way. Almost like that's meant to be part of their weirdness.
