I agree about it being the same hotel room as Stacey/Max. Haven't we seen another assignation there since then? I can't remember who or whether sunglasses were involved though!

Eastenders only has one hotel room. I was obviously not concentrating and totally didn't get it wasn't going to be Ben! Feeling a bit thick

All the spoilers said that the Mitchell's will 'be told' Ben was dead. None of them said Ben dies or is leaving,

So where is Ben?

Ben and Paul went out for dinner didn't they? How did Paul get beaten up whilst in possession of Bens phone whilst Ben was absent? And where is Ben...?

Did Ben beat him up?

Well, that was a gob smacking twist. I definitely did not see that coming at all .

It won't have been Ben who did it. I reckon homophobic attack as they were very big on Showing Ben and Paul being together last Friday. I bet Ben will blame himself. Maybe he's lying Injured somewhere. Why did Paul have his phone though? Must have done as they must have seen 'mum' and phoned it. Or maybe Ben thought he was taking the beating and gave Paul his phone and they got him anyway?

Very odd and disjointed episode. Yet again!

I haven't seen a couple of episodes.... So, from reading this... Paul and Ben got each other's names tattooed on their hands. One of them is dead and been identified by their tattoo. Mitchell's have been told Ben is dead.

So, is Paul dead but mis-identified as Ben because he has a Ben tattoo?

So I though Ian had said to the Mitchells that Ben had been in a fire, and it only occurred me to me that he probably said fight when they showed Paul.
That whole episode probably would've been a lot better if they hadn't released the Ben spoilers and the fact Paul was leaving.
I did enjoy the way Linda was saying "bun in the oven" repeatedly in the caff. I'll miss her when she goes on mat leave.

I wonder if they'll do a flashback episode to piece together what happened?

I think Paul took a picture of them all using bens phone when they were with pam & Les which is how they will explain the phone

Paul was misidentified because they used the phone on Paul to ring Kathy, which was Ben's phone and they must have phoned 'mum'. The tattoos weren't mentioned.

Out of interest, most people have a pass code to get onto their phones, I do. DH is in my phone book as ICE (in case of emergency). But how would anyone get into the phone to find out who to ring?

I think it was meant to be the next morning, they went out at the same time as buster & Kathy met up, and they were only away for the night

On my iPhone there's an emergency bit you can get into without a code and you can add your contacts into it. Mine has my Dad and my DH, so it just says "Dad Mob" and "MagpieDH Mob"

You can use Siri to call without a passcode can't you?

Not everyone has an iPhone though and isn't Siri an iPhone thing?

Did Paul use bens phone to take the "nice" family selfies in Friday's episode?

I've added a scrolling list of ICE info to my lock screen. On my Motorola it's Settings > Security > Lock Screen Message. Now anyone who finds my phone will know my name, DOB, ICE contacts, blood type, allergies... anything the might be useful if I were injured.

How awful was Kathys acting, mind you the script they gave her was poor - can't believe they brought her back from the dead to continue giving these awful performances. Ian and Phil brilliantly played as always. I know it's not real but I feel sad for Pam & Les who've already lost a son. And poor Ben, never destined to be happy. This would have worked so much better if they hadn't revealed months ago that Paul was leaving, kept the storyline secret.

I'm guessing Ben is also injured. Probably lying in the same hospital. If Paul had Ben's phone and his wallet was stolen, there'd be no way to identify him.

There are lots of reasons Paul might have had the wrong phone. He may have been carrying it for him, or might have been taking photos. It seemed realistic enough.

And yes, Kathy. Bloody hell. Has that actor had any other roles? I honestly have no idea how she got the part.

She was in Hollyoaks! Pretty similar character though.
