Something happens to Paul resulting in his leaving the show and we'll all be shocked. Apparently. Can't say I can muster up too much enthusiasm for a sideshow Paul story. He's so dull.

I've guessed how Paul is going to leave based on what's coming up this week. His dad was very ill wasn't he and Pam helped him to die. She has said it before.

I thought it was Ben's way of saying he was glad that Pam had accepted his relationship with Paul, him initiating the game after she said 'love is love'.

Yes Sam has thankfully gone. DW was only in it this time round for four episodes.

Paul was always a plot device for Ben to come out. Now he is out and Phil hasn't kicked off, Pail has served his usefulness. Ben and Jonny will get together.
On a kinda related point, Marc Elliott (Syed minus the dodgy hair) will be in Holby starting from next Thursday.

It's a partial spoiler because of what happens this week so I'd better not say. I think this is what will lead to his departure though.

The way Sam left Richard was so heartbreaking (for him). It's a bit too close to home and I was welling up when she just drove away as he was there.

That scene made me cry not just for Richard but because after all her declarations of not feeling anything for him, she cried as she was leaving so it was untrue and indicative of her lack of support.

Just what was Louise going on about Sam for? Am I missing a big part where she knew Sam. As far as I was aware, she was living with Lisa until her latest arrival in the Square. Were Lisa and Sam close? I don't think so.

I think Paul is quite sweet.

Eastenders gay criteria seems to be that one of you needs to be straight previously, in a relationship with a member of the opposite sex. Gay person needs to make you come out. You need to prove to everyone you are both really gay Hmm

Eastenders needs a good gay couple. Where they are just gay. Arrive together. Live together.

Just had a quick peek at Digital Spy

Interesting (well interesting for Eastenders) things next week.

Grin at the group ( Lauren, Abi, Whitney, Jonny, possibly Steven) getting dressed up and going to The Albert.
Like they'd all bloody FIT in The Albert. Has to be The Worlds Smallest Bar.
I'm sure the bar Pat had in her front room was bigger.

Also mentions Kyle and Andy.
So thats possibly 7 punters. The only night the customers outnumber the satff.

Why wouldn't they go Up West? They live right on top of an Underground station.

And - have the Cokers always lived /worked on the Square?
We've seen the funeral directors and their beautiful horses many times over the years, but were they always there in the background?

Gavin and Peggy went way back ..... remember the photograph he used pull out at the drop of a hat? But why was Sharon talking about Louise as if Gavin knew her? Even if Ben and Kathy had spoken about her in SA, he wouldn't have known or cared about her relationship with Peggy!

Actually i tihnk it was explained that they had another coker & son site a "little way out" before they moved to the square... So that sort of explains it.

PP, all gay soap storylines are like that see Aaron and Jackson, and Aaron and Robert. And even in Corrie they've got that secretive gay priest.

I think it's an English soap thing. I don't remember Neighbours having a couple arrive together but they have had a few people who've arrived as gay singles before getting together - Nate & Aaron, Aaron & Tom... other than that, gay teens come out, have a moment with a straight teen who then decides they're definitely straight & everyone goes back to just being friends. I have no recollection of H&A having any gay couples.

Sad to hear Syed has lost his hair, I rather liked it & might have been coaxed back into watching Holby with the promise of his floppy hair.

It would be nice to see some gay couples that haven't had some secret gay relationship. Maybe a couple who are married already, maybe looking to adopt . When will soap land realise there are different aspects to a gay relationship FFS!!

And they don't all have to sleep with very gay in the village

Syed and Christian had potential but it all got messy towards the end. Am hoping that Aaron and Robert in Emmerdale can be a normal couple, but Robert has a tendency to want to kill people which might spoil it for them!
